Beautiful view, fast, friendly service, reasonable prices, Huge Portions! Staff has great throwback uniforms and the cute little diner hats.

Dining at the end of a pier is always a treat, especially with dolphins gliding by. But the service is pokey. We shared a salad, which was super in size but also in blah ness. One of the lamest salads we've ever had.

Had a great breakfast, as billed food is fresh and generous. The cinnamon roll french toast is to die for. Fun atmosphere, but can have very slow and sloppy service. The view makes the wait easier.

We ate a dinner here and found the place tired, dirty and the food was not very good. I couldn't get past all the flies hovering around me it made it uncomfortable to eat. The cheese stick appetizer was pretty good but everything else we ordered was not.

Take the walk down the Pier and enjoy the view of the ocean and beach. Food is good especially the burgers. For those of you who like milk shakes you are in for a treat.

Ruby's is owned by the city of Oceanside which is limiting progress and improvements. Here's a restaurant that hasn't changed its upstairs since 1924 or so. Coffee is middle-weak because many customers like their coffee weak, not Starbucks or Panera. I had the oatmeal which was delicious, steel-cut oatmeal with walnuts and raisins, brown sugar on the side.....I asked a... More

We got to the diner 18-Jul-2014 around 6:30pm. We were told 30-45 mins for the wait and we were fine with that wait. Total wait time was close to 1.5 hours. The bathroom was nasty!! Food was good but didn't offset the wait time. They are very unorganized. 3 teenagers running the counter didn't make sense either.

Great day at the pier. We finished it with dinner at Ruby's. Great garlic fries! The view from Ruby's is fantastic. The Pacific Ocean and the shoreline. Priceless!

Heading to San Diego from Santa Monica we decided to check out the famous Oceanside pier, fishermen after fishermen lined the pier on this 2000 foot long pier but at the end was Ruby's. Had eaten at the Huntington Beach Ruby's so I was familiar with the food selection. Being a Tuesday afternoon it was not crowded, got a booth... More
