Heading to San Diego from Santa Monica we decided to check out the famous Oceanside pier, fishermen after fishermen lined the pier on this 2000 foot long pier but at the end was Ruby's. Had eaten at the Huntington Beach Ruby's so I was familiar with the food selection. Being a Tuesday afternoon it was not crowded, got a booth... More

It's really all about the location here--the view from the end of the pier is just stunning! The wait for a table is LONG (we were there on a Saturday afternoon), the service is friendly but not terribly attentive, and the food is just adequate (burgers not really cooked to order despite them asking, fries nothing to write home about...)... We ate here in the upstairs area on a Saturday afternoon. Great views and good juicy burgers w/ great flavor. Really felt like we were on vacation at the beach after eating here.

Good food, great location and most of the waitress's were nice. First off, greeted by a friendly employee who took us to our table. Our waitress didn't greet us with a smile, but at the end, she smiled and was smiling as she went to her other tables, maybe a bad start of the day. Very good hamburgers. They had... More

It's fun to walk out onto the pier and the idea of the diner out there is a great one. It just happens that this place is a bit run down, food is very mediocre and prices are too high for low quality food. It's probably hard to prevent, but the place is filled with flies so that doesn't help.... More

Old fashion burgers, fries, salads, shakes, sandwiches, fountain drinks, etc. Reminds me of diners from the 60's and 70's! Great views of the ocean and coastline, comfortable booths, good service. Xlnt. quality food. Recommended!

Great burgers and fries in a 1950's setting. Food and service were good. Stop in while shopping, you should enjoy it.

We loved this place! Everyone was very friendly! They had a great kids menu and I could get breakfast even late. We had a nice visit and they sat people even close to closing time.

Went to Oceanside for a wedding wanted to have a nice breakfast the next day. I had read there was a Ruby's Dinner at the end of the pier. My friends and I loved the view, but that was about it. First they were served coffee in dirty mugs, the table clothes where disgusting we thought really you can' buy... More
