You'll need a little patience, but food is worth the wait. 5 guys who couldn't clean their plates. Kind of place where the customers refill their own coffee. Great atmosphere, food very well priced, corned beef hash passed the test!

They have photos of old donated by the oceanside historical society which helps give it that historical feel. Its a small diner so if it gets busy you may have to wait. I went in and it was not so I grabbed a seat at the bar dining area. I had sweet tea to drink and it was good didnt... More

This is Americana at it's best. A diner you don't see anymore. Has the décor from days past. Nothing fancy but who cares? Had to have the burger and fries which was very good and filling. Chili was also good. Waitress was very nice and friendly. They even have the music selector at the table to add some flair. I... More

We were a group of 6 adults and 3 children. It took over an hour from the time we arrived in the restaurant until the food arrived. All breakfast meals arrived at room temperature (cold). The pancakes were rubbery, hard to cut, and difficult to chew. There was no apology from staff due to the ridiculously long wait and food... More

The 101 is just off of PCH and Wisconsin. It reminds me of a diner back in the fifties. The food is great and their specialties are their waffles, pancakes and milkshakes. The milkshakes are creamy and homemade making it that much better.

Just came back from the 101 Diner in oceanside. What a great place. My husband had pancakes and a root beer float. I had a burger (the good old-fashioned kind) and a milkshake. Really tasty. Unlike trendy places dressed up as old-style, this place is absolutely authentic. Good diner menu, very reasonable prices. Great nostalgia music playing in the background,... More

It was great to find a restaurant like this when we're on vacation. The building has a lot of history. We enjoyed looking at the photos on the walls while we waited for our food. The waitstaff was friendly. They had a pretty large menu. I had a simple cheeseburger and my husband had the open faced turkey sandwich. Food... More

We love that our guest review the 101. Remember that when we opened most people still did not have a phone. Now we can instantly review a business. We work day in and day out to keep our quality the highest and our service the best. We know that not everyone will like our place, but we do take it... More
