Pizza is always consistent and excellent. Bartenders know the beers very well and are always happy to help you decide; never annoyed if you want to taste 10 different beers before deciding (like my wife), which I greatly appreciate. We love going here and go about 8 times a year. I've read some strange comments about the service, but understand... More

My husband and I went here as part of a self-guided brewery tour via the Coaster train (our stops are outlined below). The garlic cheese bread was amazing! And at 4 bucks, it’s an unbeatable deal. The beer was great too. You can choose between a flight, a ½ pint, or a full pint so you can try a lot... More

We had the double IPA and artichoke bruschetta. Both were very good. The atmosphere was very casual. We enjoyed sitting outside. Food looked good, but we were looking for something with more atmosphere for dinner. Great place for lunch or drinks.

we just happened upon this place while passing thru oceanside tonight. small, cozy, with a great beer selection (driving so did not get to try any of these). I had the turkey, bacon, avocado, and swiss panini and my wife had a toasted turkey and cucumber sandwich. Both were excellent, best panini I've ever had. we will be back as... More

was introduced by few co-workers to this place. very different from the usual dining experience I have. plenty of craft brews on tap. the dining menu is simple enough with quick finger foods & sandwiches & pizzas. could see an eclectic group of patrons from families with small children to 'dudes' chugging down a craft brew.

I totally understand that this is the "era" of the "chill, nonchalant" generation...but customer service is not part of that. Their pizzas are ok, nothing to brag about. Their wings: spicy ones: good, teriyaki: what teriyaki? you mean burnt flavor? Most important : do not walk in this place expecting any sort of customer service a restaurant should have...more like... More

I love this place, eat here once a week, the people who work there and the food are amazing. If you live in Oceanside or are visiting stop by have a drink and some food to eat, you will love it, as much as we do.

Breakwater offers a nice selection of their own and other local brews. The food is good and worth coming back for. The character of the restaurant changes a lot throughout the day and weekends versus weekends as well as during tourist season. So pick the best times for the kind of experience you are looking for.

After a long walk on the beach we headed to Coast Highway and found Breakwater. While the pint and grub was fine, they seemed understaffed and uninterested. Service was curt and minimal. Tables sat cluttered with previous customer's leavings through our whole meal and floor was sticky - both inside and outside the restrooms.

Pizza was good but seating is horrible. Husband liked his beer. Just overall not a very impressive place.
