While staying in Oceanside visiting family we happened on this restaurant lie searching on Trip Adviser for where to eat. BEST pork chops my son ever had! we all agreed. The pork sandwich and ribs were amazing. we cannot wait to visit again!!!

This place doesn't spend a lot of time on decor. It's not junky, but there's a wall that's obscured by a curtain, that kind of thing. The food, though, is outstanding. Cheddar grits with bacon - this was a standout. I had a terrific braised short rib. My companion had their chicken and "dumplings." Lots of good beers and wines.... More

Loved the late night eclectic vibe. Comfortable din with a flock of foodies. Beet salad was delish and the flatbread appetizer, while very flavorful, was 'grill interrupted', with lukewarm bread. We'd arrived with 5 minutes to kitchen closing time and in spite of a nearly full house, the staff was closing up shop and our flatbread fell, well, flat.

The 6 friends eating with me enjoyed their meat choices though no raves. I had a nice beet salad, though the dressing was very bland. They offered a catfish meal with sausage and grits that didn't appeal to me, but I asked for a piece of catfish with my salad, and it was quite good--cornbreaded and perfectly cooked. We arrived... Once again magnificent recommendation found on TripAdvisor. Honestly it's been a while since we were there, but it left an indelible impression - a good one! It's attached / part of an old auto mechanic type place with great neon sign & other memorabilia. Mismatched tables, chairs & glassware in a dark wood environment made for fun, eclectic experience. Small... More

Each time I return, the food at this amazing dinner only gastro pub just keeps getting better. This time I choose one of the salads. The pickled baby beets were to die for. We also sampled the spaetzle and braised beef pasta special, a blue cheese aioli burger, and the chicken and dumplings. All were simply fantastic. The kitchens ability... More

Here you will find a small, shared, boisterous yet intimate dining experience. It is my local neighborhood pub and I love it dearly. I usually can squeeze into a bar seat to order my favorite- Mac N Cheese or goat cheese app. They only take reservations for parties of 6 or more. The line starts to form by 6. The... More

From the outside, you'd barely even notice this restaurant. Looks like a small dive bar or something, next to auto fixing shops. But don't let that stop you, take the plunge. As other reviewers have mentioned, you'll be amazed. This is a truly culinary gem. We live in Carlsbad, and I had no idea this was so close. Wait staff... More

A local recommended the brussel sprouts that were in season...what a treat. Fun bar and restaurant scene that is off the beaten path.

Ok, there was only 2 of us and we of course , our luck, arrived just as happy hour was over but the crowd never thinned out .,, the tomato salad is a must! I will order on every return .
