This was the second place my husband and I stopped for breakfast on Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. After our poor experience at Cafe 101 we went down the street and found this place. Would like to say it was wonderful, but we didn't get the chance to find out because we left before ordering. There was one other customer... More

Always on the search for good restaurants with vegan options and this was recommended by Succulent Café, also in Oceanside. Now THIS is vegan cooking...even some Raw Vegan options. I chose the Yams with stir fried veggies and vegan garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection...stir fry of onions, bean sprouts, kale, and peppers was great and the garlic... More

The Hill Street Cafe has a very delicious and healthy menu. It really is one of my favorite restaurants of all time,One thing you should always remember about this cafe is that your order will always take a while, so be patient. The food is always fresh. At breakfast the Greek Eggs are one of my favorites, and a Keith... More

This is a small but quaint place. The good was incredible so was the service. I had the fresh seafood bowl over brown rice and a freshly squeezed blood orange mimosa . Both were absolutely delicious. Much better then many if the upscale restaurants in town.

Did some research before vacation and this was on my list. It is a Victorian house, we were seated immediately for dinner. All the food was fresh and good. The manager/owner? was very friendly. We went back for breakfast later in the week service was a little slow that morning and there was not hardly anyone there, still like the... More

I have been going here for years and the food is consistently great - and best of all, no guilt! Located in a quaint yellow Victoria house on the main drag, they have both inside and outside seating, as well as some private rooms. I have ordered several items on the menu and liked them all, but my favorites are... More

The food is OK, and the menu includes some healthy choices but I am not always too happy with the service. The restaurant is in an old home that has been converted. I have eaten there about 5-6 times. Good enough to come back to, but not among the best.

I used to go to Hill Street Cafe when it first opened over twenty years ago. It was amazing. At the time it was one of the first proper owner-operator coffee shops in Oceanside and for that alone it was gratefully received, however, when the sheer quality of coffee, service and atmosphere was also taken into account it rapidly became... Check out the art gallery upstairs and munch out downstairs. This place even has a covered pourch to eat al fresco. This establishment was the least expensive of all the Oceanside places I ate on this trip. It was also the coolest. I recommend this place as "the go to" place.

We had coffee sitting outside and felt it would be great to have lunch there. We managed to return for lunch and Mill Street is a winner. It is eclectic in layout and menu, something for everyone whether regular carnivores, vegetarian or vegan. Our salads were fresh, delicious, generous and so interesting. The staff are super friendly, we sat outside... More
