Los Cantaros has become our go-to spot for inexpensive but festive meals, especially when small children are involved. The food is good, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is casually pleasing. Meals are ordered at the counter and brought to your table. Chips and salsa (a thin sauce rather than pico de gallo) are part of the... More

Not at all fancy. Order at counter. Consistently good food. Nice variety of food. Al Pastor tacos are terrific. Beer, cocktails and soda. Not for lingering conversations.

We stopped here after taking the kids to Children's Fairyland, and it was fantastic. My carnitas burrito was really good, and they did not skimp on anything: guac, sour cream, the works. I also indulged in a lime margarita and it was really good as well. The salsa that came with our chips was unique, not quite like anything I've... More

I live nearby and have visited Los Cantaros several times. Nice people each time, food prep is quick, and there is plenty of seating in a nice dining area. Food is good, although so far i have not found anything especially memorable, and the prices seem reasonable. Still looking for at least one especially good dish that will kick it... More

I have been going to Los Cantaros since they first open years ago. At first is was awesome but after one of the owners left there were a lot of changes made including the quality of the food which went down hill fast. My favorite is the Tijuana Caesar Salad which in the beginning was wonderful. The chicken was cooked... More

It's hit or miss with Mexican. The chips were salty, and the guacamole and poco de gallo average. We grabbed food to go and had to double check to see if they skimped on the sour cream. Sometimes they're generous and other times stingy. Well it's decent food and not expensive. I think drinks (like all other places) will run... More

I want to give this restaurant props for the wide array of options on their menu. I found several vegan options and my meat-loving friends and family also found what they were looking for. We ordered take-out, as we were staying right around the corner with a friend, so I can't really speak as the quality of their service, but... More

Walked down to this restaurant after visiting Fairyland. My burrito was really good, and the guac was especially amazing. Good lime margarita, too. Unfortunately, the chips (for the salsa) weren't warm.

When I first moved into the neighborhood I craved some Mexican food without having to drive down to International St. First of all this place is wa over priced, the food is simple and the presentation is horrible, if I'm gonna pay close to $15.00 for a burrito and horchata, can i at least get a smile and some nachos.... Not worth the wait or the cost: this place is vastly overrated and seems to cater to clueless gringos who don't seem to mind queueing up for mediocre food, another prime example that popular does not always equate to good...service is absolutely abysmal: we waited nearly an hour for two take-out burritos early on a busy Friday evening. Due to... More
