This is a classic authentic Italian deli, which you might not expect to find in Oakland. The counter is always busy, with a massive selection of fresh meats and great sandwiches made to order. There's also a great range of imported groceries, sauces, noodles, desserts, cookies. If you promised to make Italian food for dinner, some of the prepared items... more

Fresher meat is not to be found anywhere....except at the source. Their sandwiches have stood the test of time; I've been eating there for 36 years and they still rock. more
