We were there at a peak hour and it was awful. The noise from all the diners jammed in together was deafening, and then of course there is music over that and the noise from the kitchen. (They had an open area so you could see them cooking.) The worst thing was that the waiters were racing all around you... more
Awful. Absolutely awful. While it has been in business for over 40 years, Francesco's has some of the worst food I've ever consumed. No trip though the Oakland airport is complete without at least one stop at Francesco's Restaurant. This is an old, established family restaurant; it is always jammed with locals at lunchtime. Dined here the night before we departed the West Coast from the Oakland airport. Large resturant on a corner on the main road going to the terminal. Food was typical Italian and very good. Service was excellent w/ a large serving staff. Very busy but not a long wait. Reminded me of a large family owned resturant from the 1950's... more
