Replaced by the new bakery/restaurant Borgo Italia. Borgo is excellent and unlike B, is open for breakfast (pastries only), lunch and dinner, until 11p at night.

We read about the B Restaurant in Oakland here on Trip Advisor and decided to try it. We had tried the San Francisco restaurant and liked it. The Oakland experience was even better. We sampled the gnocchis with mushrooms as an appetizer, and shared two different pizzas as the main course. The gnocchis were perfect, maybe the best we have... More

A local Oaklander told us about this place after a long Saturday of attending an event at the Oakland Convention Center. Wow, what a GREAT FIND! I loved all the great Asian restaurants in the area, but this was the best for dinner. The atmosphere is excellent, the food is delicious, and if you are a rum fan, you are... More

I have dined here three times. Great each time. Fabulous gourmet pizza and many other tasty items on the menu. One of the best in Oakland. Also, the Old Oakland neighborhood is a fun place to hang out, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.

a friend and i happened on this chic little space in what appeared to be an awesome little niche within the oakland community. i really loved the use of space in the building. it is very tough to "insert" a restaurant into a building that wasn't designed for one...these guys did a splendid job making it work. we sat at... They truly do an amazing job from the minute you walk in the door to the truffle fries and fab clam pizza.  I recently went with a group of friends, and had a lovely experience with my table loving absolutely everything that we tried.  My duck breast was perfectly seared and paired with a fig and bourbon cocktail.  My friend... A first time visit, and it will not be my last. For dinner, my wife and I split (1) a cheese plate, (2) a bowl of soup and (3) a pizza....and there was food left over. The homemade lentil soup was made to be thick, which was very enjoyable. It had a hint of pepper and the creme fresh added... More

Didn't know the restaurant and 'wandered' in when we learned that the restaurant of our choice was no longer in business. What a great find!! Open, welcome atmosphere, friendly staff and really unusual fare, both food and drink. We decided to 'nosh' on appetizers and were astounded at the great variety and really tasty combinations of toppings on flatbread pizzas,... More

A must do restaurant in Oakland, this is a place where the food and cocktails are as delicious as the atmosphere. The panzanella and poached petrale sole I had tonight were two of the best dishes I have had in ages. My cocktails paired well with the menu which was a nice change of pace from wine and I felt... Just happened to find this place as it was in the same block as my hotel, and what a find! Not only was the food outstanding (mussles in a rich broth with gouda cheese and a lamb stew to die for!), but they also had items my vegan daughter could eat (french fries with truffle oil!). Sitting at the bar... More
