Business Meeting Dinner

Party of 3 for a business meeting. We were seated next to the window. Slight smell of gas was the only negative. We started with a dozen oysters. Followed by a cup of Lobster Bisque, it was ok. One of our business associates didn't eat his. Dinner followed, one associate had pork chop... read more

My son told us about this place so we were in the area and came and enjoyed the Sunday Jazz brunch. The food is expensive but well worth the price. The view of the bay from the table and the outstanding variety and quality of food made this a memorable occasion for my wife and I. We were glad that... More

Great atmosphere, at the bar, with jazzy piano and a sultry singer to accompany small bites and $5 glasses of house wine. Happy hour M-F, validated parking (or valet if you must). A perfect spot to watch the sunset on the Oakland estuary.

My wife and I have made it a point to have Sunday brunch whenever we're here, and now we've finally got around to making it for dinner. We were not disappointed. Southern Crab Cakes, Herb Crusted Halibut, Parmesan Bacon Salmon, a bottle of Chandon Rose, and a piano player in the background. Yep, it cost $141 plus tax, but it... More

Meh. Gorgeous place. Great view. Fancy. Lazy waitress. However...if you are a foodie forget it. The food is "ok". Think wedding reception. Homogonized. Bland. The oyster shucker is lazy. Ruins blue points. There was grit and they were still attached by the foot. Sauce bland. Lobster bisque was a joke. Basically it was a thin butternut squash soup with one... More

The restaurant is great and you can get a full on dinner but we enjoy hitting the bar get the chowder bowl, a few glasses of pinot and some french bread and enjoy just hanging out. For two it will cost $70

Scott's has long been an Oakland fixture, not just because of it's location on the water. The food and service continue at a high level, which brings the locals back. Families come to celebrate and will return to celebrate another occasion, or to enjoy a good meal in happy surroundings. The staff is friendly but professional and is eager to... More

This is a first class venue for dining, with a lovely view of the Oakland estuary and the pleasure craft that go by. The service is excellent and the food is very good. The only downside in my view is that its alacarte for the most part, making it quite expensive. Its great for special occasions like anniversaries and birthdays... More

If a wonderful view is what you want, this is a great place. Their wine list is outstanding, so sipping it while watching the sunset over Alameda Island is a lovely evening. The food is good seafood, but fabulous gourmet it is not. I give the setting and wine a 5, but the food a 3, which averages to 4.

The food is awesome and the view is very nice. Though it is is bit upscale, neat casual is appropriate (though please don't wear shorts and flip flops). The only negative is the wait staff. There are a couple of very attentive servers, but the majority of them seem rushed and stressed to the point of being surly. I get... More
