this restaurant used to be great- now i think it is overpriced, and the food is good...but not as good as it used to be under old owners. the light up zza's on the wall is pretty fun more

i've read the reviews of zza's. that it's 'underwhelming' and 'subpar.' but that service is excellent and so on. who said the charm in zza's must come through its food? when north beach and san francisco and berkeley are minutes away, there are undoubtedly more gastonomically pleasing places. and so if you want a fine, authentic italian meal, i'd avoid... more

I went to Zza's Trattoria for my birthday about two years ago, and was underwhelmed by the food. The service was very friendly and attentive, however... even though the restaurant was quite busy with peak dinner traffic. I was initially excited and inspired by the menu, which listed many authentic Italian dishes that I have been eating my whole life... more
