I needed an Italian place for a Saturday night dinner with my brother and sister-in-law, who are rather unadventurous eaters (I was warned to avoid anything "exotic"). LoCoco's fit the bill perfectly: tasty renditions of traditional dishes, served up efficiently, with no reservations necessary. After a reasonable wait, we were seated at a table on the sidewalk, where we people-watched,... More

A cozy place on Piedmont Avenue, in the very diverse Piedmont area. If spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, etc is what you hunger for, this is your place. Also tried was the linguini with white clams, a signature dish for an Italian restaurant, but not really a Sicilian recipe. It was a tad salty but overall very tasty and pretty close... More

We ordered the pesto tortellini, clam linguini, and spaghetti w/ meatballs to go. It came w/ foccaccia bread. They were all delicious, but we especially enjoyed the chicken tortellini w/ pesto.

Food is family and home style. I love the classic calamari dish, cooked in its ink. By far the best rendition I have tasted. The crew is friendly, ask for Joe and see if Maria is around.

everything was delicious and although we had a little wait the cute waiter was so solicitous and brought us the best dessert to make up for it. Definitely a must visit. Good value, great food, great service

Not new or chic like Dopo, but less of a scene, much better food, great friendly staff who have been there for decades. Cash only, tho maybe they take personal checks. Unless a rainy night, or when it opens, you have to wait -- not too long, but it is very popular.
