We met some out of town friends for dinner, one of whom has dietary restrictions (no red meat, no dairy, no wheat) and who is also a wheelchair user. No problem at Soi 4. We ordered multiple plates so we could share. Order of mustard leaves filled w/delectable bits was astonishingly delicious. Veggie curry was delightful as was eggplant stuffed...

This restaurant gets very good reviews and maybe we had dishes that weren't the best choice. It is a very lively popular place, light, modern, clean and full of people so they must be doing something right!
My Tom Yam soup with chicken was okish but made with dried chillies, not too hot, presumably to cater for everyone but no...

I just love this place! The ambiance, the service and staff and of course the food! I have tried many dishes here and always enjoy a good dinning experience. Curries, noodles, satays, etc. Very well prepared with fresh ingredients and tasty sauces.
I always, always have something to start though I am not good with the Thai names, I can...

The Berkeley/Oakland area has lots of Thai restaurants but I would recommend SOI 4 above the rest. We shared an assortment of 5 dishes among the 6 of us and all were terrific. the restaurant is pretty, the staff very friendly and thefood is delish- a great combination.
Had lunch here with my boss today and had an absolutely delicious meal! We started with the pan fried dumplings served with a ginger sauce. Then shared the roast duck and Thai wontons in yellow egg noodle soup and ginger marinated New Zealand rack of lamb. The soup was okay (a little more plain), but the other two items were...

The service was a little lacking but it is a fun, elegant yet casual place with great food. Try as many of the tapas that you can, especially the Thai spiced corn cakes and the oh-so-good shrimp and pork dumplings. All of it yummy. Be prepared to wait, though. And it wasn't really even that busy.
I enjoy the wide selection and the willingness of the staff to accommodate my needs for low salt.
We recently returned from a trip to California where we went to SOI 4 with our daughter and some friends to SOI 4. While the atmosphere seemed a bit tight (they tried to get as many people seated in the upper balcony level as possible) the service was very friendly and efficient. We tried a few items here that I...

Met a long-time friend while in town for work. We had four different appetizers and each was perfect. The lettuce wraps with coconut were particularly delicious: small bites with many layers of fresh flavors. Be sure to try the turnip appetizer; never had anything quite like this. I believe that until 6pm appetizers and drinks are half-price. We sat upstairs...
