I enjoyed this restaurant. Perhaps it was more California Italian? Not the classic Italian in my mind. But still tasty. My friend had the eggpalnt, I the pork picatta... Big portions! Have dinner ready for tomorrow night now. :-) Nice ambiance. We sat outside in the patio. Nice quiet place to go with friends, family... maybe even a bit of... More

Great ambiance. Most friendly polite and accommodating waitstaff..... BEST Italian food. Also, gotta love the guitar player playing classical Hendrix tunes. Try the brussel sprouts

My husband and I came here for Valentine's night. He had the sea scallops and beet risotto. He said the sea scallops were scrumptious. He liked the risotto, too, although I thought it was a bit heavy on the beets. I had the veal scallopini and butternut squash ravioli. This combination was was excellent: tender, flavorful veal and rich, slightly... More

It's convenient so we go more often than i would like and everytime we go in there, they tell us how they'll "squeeze us in" and yet, when we leave there are STILL at least 1/2 dozen empty tables. The menu is the same menu they have had for years with a few uninspiring specials every night. Very little for... More

Service is wonderful, food is always top-notch, Caesar salad is the best in the Bay Area! One of the few places that offers extra anchovies, too. We've been regulars for years, since it opened, in fact. Hope it lasts longer than we do! The New Year's Eve menu is always special, and this year it was again a lovely change.... More

We ate on the patio near the big fountain. A person plays guitar music at night. The pasta dishes are really good because the sauce is so good. The baked eggplant is just wonderful. The desserts are great too.

Colors has wonderful food; caring servers; great drinks at the bar. It's a neighborhood sort of place, but fancier than most. Often times quite crowded and noisy. Almost always we see neighbors dining. Have always had a wonderful dinner and at great value.

We've been coming to Colors since it opens several decades ago. The food has improved over time and we've found a few "favorites". The service is always very attentive and, while the menu doesn't change too much, the choices are good and varied. The chopped salad is terrific and has been for years. Seasonally they have a tomato salad topped... More

My friend and I ate at Italian colors last night and had a delightful meal! I will agree with some of the reviewers that the restaurant can be tricky to find, but I am so happy we kept looking. There is a large parking lot next to the restaurant which we missed entirely! They held our reservations for us and... More
