I never was a deep dish pizza lover until I ate at Zachary's 👍. Their pepperoni pizza along with a salad is awesome!! THE BEST- can't wait to visit the Bay Area again soon so I can go back 😉

This place is well loved so the wait to get a table is long but apparently worth it, uh, I didn't think so. I felt the tomato sauce tasted almost out of the can and frankly, the pizza is something like those soup bowls, unappetizing bread filled with poorly cooked goop in the middle. I've never gone back nor will... More

As a former, Chicagoan, I have to say that Zachary's is as close to real Chicago Pizza as you will get. Their claim to that honor is their crust and their pizza sauce. Pizza in Chicago is a big thing but we have a great representation here in the Bay Area. Delicious.

Popped in on a Sunday for a slice. Disappointed to find that you can only get thin crust by the slice. Had the veggie. It was good/okay. Missed enjoying the Spinach Mushroom deep dish, which is a favorite. Friendly staff, casual, bustling atmosphere. Lots of colorful tattoos abound.

I am normally not a deep dish pizza type but Zachary's is the exception. I love, love, love the spinach and mushroom. It has big hunks of tomato on top and is so yummy. I frequently get the half-baked and finish heating it at home.

If you don't like deep dish don't go here. But if you do, it's definitely the best pizza around. Good sauce and they are not shady on the toppings. One slice will fill you up. Definitely get your money's worth. Got The chicken artichoke pizza, was really good. Coworkers got meat lovers, was stacked.

We had a wonderful dinner at Zachary's Pizza in Oakland on July 25, 2014. The wait was long as expected, but worth the wait. The deep dish pizza is as good as it gets. The crusts and cheese are top notch. I can't wait to go visit this area again and will always find a time to get pizza at... More

We ordered a pizza from Zachary's at the recommendation of our close friends. I'm generally not a big fan of deep dish, but this tastes like a beautiful blend of Chicago and California. The portions aren't massive and you can easily have more than one slice. It's that good!

Service and staff are excellent. The vibe is okay. The pizza... well, I hear it's great for California. It's really, really bready, pretty greasy so it satisfied in that way. But definitely not an east coast pizza. It's a great spot to stop by and pick up a slice when you're hungry while exploring Rockridge

Son and daughter in law hadn't tried Zachary's although they have lived here for nearly four years. Although a bit pricey-excellent "Chicago" flavor. I should know since I've spent mywhole life there! Our one suggestion for the thin crust is to cut it in squares like Chicagoans do! Big wedges are a New York thing!
