Dopo is one of my favorite restaurants in the SF bay area. I've been coming here for years and it consistently delivers. Everything feels right; the food, atmosphere, location, staff, etc. Their house-made pasta and salumi is fantastic. This is definitely my go-to place.

Not your usual Italian restaurant. They do have pasta and pizza but it is made with local ingredients in season. The vegetable assortment is different every time and tasty. The 3 year old in our family liked all three choices. We had the raw fish appetizer too. We will be making a return trip the next time we are in... More

I ate here last week with my daughter and grandson. We shared a crostini appetizer which was very tasty but disappointing in that it was so small and only one very small crostini to share. However, the pizza with fresh mozzarella cheese was outstanding and I highly recommend it. I understand that they change their pasta choice every night and... More

Small dish about 17 $ but the taste is fabulous!!! Very creative. I loved the crude lamb meat on figs, the triangles ravioli with kind of great cheese ( don't remember the name) swimming in light butter sauce with small yellow tomato piled out from its shell.

Make a reservation for Dopo--the place is always packed! A very delightful aroma pervades the restaurant, which is always a great sign for me that the meal will be great. The service was very good, although the hostess and our server seemed to both be taking care of our table. It was a bit confusing, and we thought our server... More

We often go to Dopo after the theater because it is open late, has such interesting food and great service. The other day we had sierra mackerel on fennel and it was very tasty. We combined it with our usual always reliable Dopo pizza, with anchovies. The menu changes but always has small plates, salumi, salad and large plates so... More

Love the rock cod panini and the little gem salad. Have tried most of the menu items over the years and found all of them to be very enjoyable, and full of taste that brings your tongue and taste buds to life.

We stopped at Dopo for lunch on the recommendation of a local shop keeper who recommended the homemade salumi and pizza. It was a really beautiful day, so we sat outside and had the antipasto plate, the arancino, and the simplest pizza (Dopo). The antipasto had some mortadella, ricotta and olives. Both the mortadella and ricotta were good enough that... More

We celebrated my birthday here with 12 friends. The food was great. They kept bringing out platter of antipastis and pizza ( hmmmmm) and raw fish ( i think it was the snapper ceviche that was my favorite with the pomegranate seeds- perfect!) we even shared the pork. Really unusual and delicious flavor The waitress was great and kind of... More

True italian thin crust pizzas with spectacular crusts are the bomb. Diverse and interesting salads are well prepared, fresh and California-italian-esque. Good assortment of wines, including some tasty, but affordable reds. Well done this time as always.
