Great spot with friends

Been here a few times with a group of friends. The wine selection is great, food is delicious but limited, and the atmosphere is really cozy. Always a fun night. Service has been hit or miss; everyone is nice just not always the most attentive.

Toast is in my neighborhood and it's perfect for a spur of the moment dining spot. The wine list is great. The food is delicious and you can order a number of small plates to try different foods. It's reasonable and very pleasant.

Visited this place with a friend I hadn't seen in months to catch up. great location with outdoor seating. the best part for me is watching all the people walk by. it was happy hour and we had the most adorable and relateable server. I can't recall her name but she had a great bubbly personality. I ordered a couple... More

Toast has been a pleasant mid-afternoon stopping point during multiple weekend walks on College Avenue. Sit in the shade under an umbrella or in the sun if you prefer, relax, and watch the pedestrians and cars pass by. There is also indoor seating if you prefer. Toast serves lunch and dinner, but to date, I have only visited for drinks... More

we once had a drink here and although we liked the drink, we found service slow. When we complained to someon who looked like the owner, his response was..."guess the company of your friends is not enough for you! ". Well, we figured that was just a failed attemot at humor so we tried the restaurant about a month later.... More

Setting: Right on College. Parking could be a challenge depending on hours. Nice outdoor patio right on the street with heaters for cold days. Nice warm inside decor. Food: Seems to follow same principles as many Berkeley restaurants these days. Fresh and local - therefore smaller menu. Bread and warm olives are very nice. The chicken was very juicy. Service:... I was excited to try this trendy place in the Rockridge district of Oakland. The menu looked interesting and fun - pricey (even $3 for bread), so we were ready to be 'wowed'. We were seated near the kitchen window with a great view of the kitchen activity. Normally that would be fun. However, shortly after we got there, I... More

Opting out of gridlock evening homebound traffic, my business partner and I decided to find someplace for dinner before heading home. We started driving south on College Ave in Oakland and this little place caught our eye -- little white lights, open patio, spacious bar area and dining room with lots of windows. It was only about 6 p.m. so... More
