amazing Vegan food for those who miss meat!! Souly vegan is an amazing restaurant with an amazing story! You MUST go to there web sight & check them out. Great collard greens, amazing no meat chicken & free oranges wail you wait. I am a vegetarian who used to love a good meaty sandwich & this place makes me forget all about my old habits. The first time I eat the chicken sandwich I knew going vegetarian wasn’t going to be as hard as I thought, as long as souly vegan is open!!!

Great-ish place

Traveling with a group of vegetarians and vegans, we looked this place up and found it within walking distance from our hotel and Jack London Square. It is on the corner of 3rd and Broadway, contrary to others who have said it was hidden, it is quite easy to find with a prominent, easy to read... read more

Got dragged by the missus to this place. Must say the black bean quinoa burger was quite good (it was a close to meat as I could get and got an A-OK from this meat eater). But the missus did not fare as well. Her food (not exactly what she ordered) came cold (!). She complained which she never does... More

I looked up vegan restaurants in the East Bay area since I didn't want to drive out to San Francisco. Upon entering, I was greeted by the person at the cashier, but didn't offering anything else other than "you order at the front" and walked away. I was having an issue with my ears so I couldn't hear that well.... More

This place is a hidden gem. Great for a quick bite at lunch or some more atmosphere in the evening. Food is good and tasty It does not pretend to be super healthy vegan but it's a good big on flavour. Ps. Try the tasty burger.

Wow! NYC Vegan who visits SF for work about every other month. Been making a habit of trying the local Vegan places. So glad I made my way out to Oakland. This place is such a find! We got the Sampler with the side of Fried Okra and the Chicken Fried Seitan using their homemade Seitan. We couldn't believe everything... More

Got a chance to visit this restaurant twice in as many weeks. You feel 'alive and at home' soon as you enter the establishment, populated with friendly, happy staff. The food portions are very generous, the presentation very appealing and the taste thats just yummy! They are open till late too!

This place has a completely unassuming location and no decor but a VERY serious kitchen led by an obviously very talented chef. My party (a mix of vegan and meat-eaters) tried the 'chicken fried steak' special, Southern Fried Tofu Bowl, Mac and Cheese, Potato Salad and desserts. This is the kind of absolutely delicious food that pleases the palate of... More

Before heading to SF, i did my homework and checked for good places to dine. This restaurant, located at walking distance from Jack London square, was my worse experience in East Bay. The food is fat, uninspired and not apealing. The name is promising a healthy meal, while you will get a heavy, high carbs meal that takes you out... More

We couldn't decide on just a couple of items, so we split a large sampler plate. Loved it all! Will definitely have fried okra, mac and cheese, potato salad, black eyed peas and BBQ tofu again. We were pretty full after finishing off every bite from the two large plates of food, but couldn't pass up sharing a slice of... More

I had very big expectations for Souley Vegan, but the food didn't quite live up to them. I had heard this place was pretty much the bomb for vegetarians, and several people recommended it, which is why my expectations were so high. My wife and I were pretty excited for our food, after checking out the menu. We ordered A... More
