Description: Plum is a neighborhood restaurant, located in Oakland’s Uptown district. The food, our interpretation of California cuisine, uses the best wild and cultivated ingredients we can find in our area. The beverage list features delicious and interesting wines, beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. The restaurant is dramatic and inviting, with reclaimed wood tables and chairs, original artwork and a large chandelier with hand-blown glass shades. If you prefer being seated at our Chef's counter over a traditional table, please let us know when making a reservation. Plum Bar, a neighborhood bar and restaurant, is also right next door. We serve inventive and classic cocktails, and fun, tasty bar food. We’re open for lunch Monday to Friday, beginning at 11AM. Happy hour is 4:00 to 6:00 pm M-F. We open at 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

Destination spot, must go if in downtown Oakland! Great wine parings. Try the gnocchi, fried oysters & bacon or any of the fresh fish specials.

The food was wonderful, locally sourced, attractively presented, and delicious. The craft cocktails were imaginative and well executed and having Scribe wines on the menu make this a must destination in Oakland. The wait staff: warm, stylish and friendly. The decor and lighting make for a relaxed and inviting plan to dine. The bar next door is great too.

Plum has an excellent friendly staff and some very delicious and unique food. I would recommend it but it does have some minor problems that can easily be addressed. First, the food (as stated) was delicious but the portions were too small. We had drinks, apps, entrees and desserts but still left a bit underfed. The menu is not inexpensive... More

I highly recommend the restaurant Plum. I went to this restaurant with my best friend and we loved the food and service. The chef was able to accommodate all my friends dietary restrictions and still make her food taste great!

Uptown Oakland has ratcheted up a few notches on the "coolness" scale with the new Plum Restaurant on Broadway. Spare, trendy decor (Black backround paintings with hundreds of identical plums in a grid pattern), nice staff and very creative food. This wouldn't have been a restaurant for my cop father. He would have been startled by the small portions and... More

We went there with our son, and it is mostly an adult restaurant, but there was one other family. The staff was very nice, and the food was good. It felt like a very special evening. I don't think the food was 5 star, as I can't remember any of it, but it is a lovely place.

My wife and I were devastated to learn that Plum, in uptown Oakland, had changed hands. It had been one of the best (and one of our favorite) restaurants in the entire SF Bay area for some time. Curiosity, however, drove us to see if/how-in-the-world the new owner and staff could come close to matching the delightful dining we were... More

Packed, squeezed and asked to exit the table too early for the next reservation, not to mention the mediocrity of the under-sized and over-priced food made this a do not return restaurant for me.

Plum is currently my favorite restaurant. Not just in Oakland, my favorite restaurant, period. They offer creative produce-forward dishes in a gorgeous environment. I particularly love to sit at the counter and watch them prepare food. Every dish is prepared with incredible care and attention to detail. This is food that is designed to savor, and portions reflect this (they're... More

For our anniversary we booked a table via OpenTable at this small plate establishment in downtown Oakland. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment our server Amanda chased us down the street with our bag of leftovers, we had a first class experience. Brenden, the manager, immediately made us feel special with his big welcome while... More
