My husband and I visited on a Sunday in early May 2015 for lunch before attending an afternoon event on the Berkeley campus. Menu, wine list, and service were all excellent. The menu is innovative Italian. We had pecorino cheese as an appetizer, Negronis Sbagliato as an aperitif, and lumache and prosciutto wrapped yellow tail for main courses. Goat Cheese... More

Had a great meal - not that Italian, but great appetizers and main dishes. Silly rating for wines: Sustainable, Organic, Biodiversity. Only in California would that make sense. Parking is horrible but the food is good and so is the staff.

We had the dinner and wines tasting menus and it was more than enough food for us. The service was superb and the food and presentation unique. We made a reservation and were glad we did--the restaurant was crowded on a Saturday night. We'll definitely return the next time we're in the neighborhood.

Friday night was pretty busy, good small plates (antipasti), small and not so memorable main dishes. Great wine flights. Would go back for wine tasting flights and appetizers.

We've had brunch, lunch and dinner here many times and have been totally satisfied every time. The authentic, yet inventive rustic Italian menu is prepared with really good local, organic, and sustainable products. The extensive wine list by the glass is a a real plus in a restaurant this size. What keeps us coming back though is the overall ambiance... More

I have never been disappointed with a meal at Bellanico. Michelin recommended and good quality food with great service. I have also gone here for brunch and the beignets were delicious.

Had a business lunch at Bellanico recently, and was particularly impressed with their lunch tasting menu. Really well designed Primi, Secondi and Dolci, with what looked like thoughtful wine pairings (couldn't do it-business lunch...). The meal was delicious. Smaller portions were paced graciously. The chef is not afraid to explore ingredients, and that is nice. Our potato/cocoa gnocchi with duck... More

Parking was a bit of a hunt however once you sat down and opened your menu you know it was worth it. We went for lunch and they have a three course menu (you can also choose with wine paring) as well as their regular menu. It was a tough choice however our mouths watered when we read the panini...
