Great selection of beers and perfect atmosphere. Barista work was perfect. Nice place to have beer and talk with friends.

This is a great place in the "Old" section of Oakland. You can walk from the 12th street BART station which is a good option as many of the beers have a high alcohol content. From San Francisco its a 13 minute train ride from Powell St- (Take the Pittsburgh/BayPoint train) You will see/meet all kinds of people with one... More

Very good beer -- and an interesting layout. Move all the way out back and check out the patio.

This is my kind of place. Great atmosphere. Feels like you're walking into an old European brewery of sorts. 2 bars with phenomenal draft beer offerings. Local CA brews as well as Belgian beers plus many more. Highly recommend for beer lovers. Excellent grilled cheese too (but limited menu in general).

I love this place! I learned to like beer in Bruges. Trappist not only features a lot of Belgian beers, but many of that style are from N. California. Beers are properly poured in the correct glass. The food offered, goes perfectly with beer. The food is simple, but the house pickles and seasonal items show a high standard of... More

Mention Miller Light and you may be shot on site. This laid back, dimly lit euro-styled beer bistro has a light offering of food and a heavenly selection of hand crafted beers on tap and in the bottle. Most glasses will set you back $8, but if you're into tasting great, complex beers hand built with love, then you won't... More

This is a fun place to grab a beer but if you're looking to eat more than a light meal or snack, you may want to go elsewhere. They had lots of craft beers on tap but a very small, eclectic menu (i.e., don't expect your typical pub food).

If you love good beer (Belgian style) served in a great environment by friendly, knowledgeable staff, this is the world-class place to go! They know how to do it right--from choosing the proper glass to match the brew, to the rinse, and then the pour. I've been all over Europe and spent a good deal of time in Belgium savoring... More

The atmosphere here is awesome.. There is a front and back Bar... Brad at the back bar is incredible. He makes you feel like hes known your forever! Service great. We went to try the different brews but the food was a delicious extra! One of the bars only takes cash so be prepared.

Try the #38 Stout. The place next door had two dollar street tacos. There was space out back behind the two (between buildings) where you can enjoy the weather without seeing (or smelling) the bums.
