Sweetwater Steakhouse was the target of an errant Mercedes that crashed into its kitchen wall on October 12. Nobody hurt but damages to structure and kitchen is extensive. Owner David DeSanders says it will be at least December and perhaps longer to get back open.

The food was okay but serviced lacked in that there was only two tables filled when we arrived. Staff was friendly & prices were reasonable.

My boyfriend took me here for dinner. We chose it since most of the reviews were positive. First of all the decor was awful - shabby 70's! This place needs a serious makeover. We had the flat iron steak. Mine was mediocre (a bit over cooked), although my boyfriend found his to be tender and tasty. We felt the servings... More

I was so pleased with a recent birthday dinner at this restaurant. It was my first time there (disregarding many years ago when my friend ordered a green salad for lunch and it was extremely wilted, actually inedible, and needed to be thrown out). Probably new owners by now! Anyway, I ordered the Signature Steak, rare, with beef and barley... More

We had a Burger and a Cesar Salad. They adapted the food to our being wheat free, Very good for lunch. I will go again.

Steak (flat iron signature steak, 22 oz) was fantastic. Tasty, juicy, medium rare as ordered. Wife's BLTA with fries also a winner. Ambiance, well, another story, but waitress service was good. Very happy we took a chance here, based on the Trip Advisor reviews. Would happily return.

Was told by our Inn hostess that none of her patrons ever had a bad meal here. So we stopped in hungry as horses after a day in Yosemite. Planned on straight up grilled steaks, but ended up choosing the prime rib with baked potatoes. Pretty dam good especially with one of my favorite beers, New Belgium Brewing Co's Fat... More

The house lime and cilantro salad dressing was a great way to start off the meal. Tart but very refreshing. The steak was excellent and properly cooked as were the sauteed vegetables. Prime rib was also very good. Service needs some experience and training but the cooks are right on.

We ate here for dinner, had great prime rib and bbq ribs. Then we came back for breakfast the next day and had the most awesome omelet, made from the prime rib, 2 cheeses, and ortega chiles. There must have been 8 oz of prime rib in the omelet!

Four of us went in today to have drinks at the bar... No-one working at bar, waited 10 minutes and went and asked if any one serving at bar. Young kid at back was rude and said you're wasting your time. Asked him if he really meant this before going back to bar and updating everyone. We decided to leave... More
