Good - food + service. early bird specials are a deal. Best seafood in the mountains; handles crowds easily
My starter was their Crab Cakes Appetizer, and what a delight. If you go for nothing else, it will be worth it.
We ate here during our stay near Yosemite. We ate in the bar area of the restaurants after nipping in to try one of the inventive and tasty cocktails from the barman Shane. The pub itself was really friendly and we got chatting to a couple of locals which was great. The menu was really extensive and had lots of... More
The start of our evening was good, the front of house guy who showed us to our seats was very welcoming. Our server was also very good and knowledgable about the menu. The experience started to loose it's appeal when the food arrived. I had chosen cajun fish which was really disappointing. The fish fillets being much smaller than I... More
We visited Crabcakes later in the evening & the dining room had already been closed. (It was a quiet time in Oakhurst because of the recent shutdown of the National Parks) We were given a nice table upstairs in the bar area. We had a lighter dinner of soup, salad, and the crabcakes. They were outstanding--crispy outside, delicious inside. The... More
I recently had the opportunity to dine in at this establishment and was greeted by a young man who promptly took us to our seats. The restaurant was so clean and the service we received from Elisa and the host we forgot his name far exceeded our expectations. To top it off the food was great!!!! We will return and... More
After being in Oakhurst for several days, we were looking for something different from pubs and BBQ's so we tried Crab Cakes Restaurant. The service was good and the food was good. We had the special which was pan seared trout. It was good and the potatoes were also good, however the veg was awful.
We ate here with our two teenage children whilst staying in Oakhurst. My husband and I had the seafood pasta which was packed full of seafood. The kids had the fish and chips and the steak which they ate without complaint. We sat in the bar area and the service was great. Would definitely recommend.
This restaurant was recommended to us by the staff at our hotel. They were right! Both my husband and I had their clam chowder and crab cakes. The chowder was very creamy and didn't skimp on the clams. The crab cakes were more crab than filler (I've had them in other places where the opposite was certainly true) and had... More
We were so looking forward to having crab cakes, since we had heard they are very good there. The décor is 'ocean' style and while a little kitsch, it was appropriate. Service slow but friendly enough. According to the menu we should have got a salad to start, which everyone around us got but we didn't which was either forgotten... More
