Fabulous food and outstanding service every time! And such a short drive from Fresno! This is not a place to bring small children, white tablecloths and quiet atmosphere are spoiled by those who insist on "family time" at this romantic getaway. The chef always creates new and interesting flavors, though never anything that did not please my palate. Miss Erna... More

Outrageously overpriced, pretentious, and mediocre food of microscopic proportions. The serving staff are obsequious and affected. We were asked several times if we had any "curiosities" about the menu. Say what?!? The wines we selected were unavailable. Nothing under $200 per bottle was available, it seemed. The "courses" were miniscule--a tiny bite each, and more akin to a tasting menu... More

What's not to like at this gourmet eatery that is part of the Chateau du Sureau lux 10-room hotel. You simply won't find anything at this level in the south gate area of Yosemite. Pricey compared to other places near and far, but New Yorkers and Europeans will find it a darn-right bargain. The service is top shelf and the... More

The ambiance, the service, the food: all incredible! There is a prix fix menu with good choices. The menu was printed with our name on it and Happy Birthday, a very nice personal touch. Look online to see if they have their local menu on Tuesdays. Nice wine selection. We had swordfish and chicken breast. That description doesn't do them... More

Went with a group of eleven for our 40th wedding anniversary. As always, the food was unbelievable and the service impeccable. This is a world class restaurant in a beautiful setting. Not inexpensive but worth it for an experience you will not find outside of San Francisco or Los Angeles! Love this place!!

My wife made reservations for a 3 night stay at Erna's I didn't know what to expect. I was blown away by the rooms, the food and the service. The rooms are beautifully appointed, like an old European chalet. The food service was outstanding. The trick here is that you don't need to have all the courses of the prix... More

This restaurant is sublime. the chef is creative, combining unusual ingredients that result in complex and delicious flavors. The staff is attentive and efficient. The atmosphere is quiet and worthy of the meal you are going to get. The multigrain housemate bread is a definite plus.

My husband and I were staying at the Chateau du Sureau and were excited for our dinner at Erna's. The food was delicious, and the house is very unique, I enjoyed the old world decor. Erna stopping by the table to welcome us was a nice touch. However, the service seemed a bit spotty for the price you pay for... More

We had a reservation and decided to go despite having come back from a tiring hike in Yosemite Park and boy were we glad that we did. This is not the type of restaurant you expect to see in this area. The food and the wine pairing was fabulous and the service was second to none. I would definitely go... More

You can't go wrong with this choice: excellent food, great wine. Very romantic, perfect for a special occasion, or just because you're tired of having burgers or BBQ. Very luxurious and satisfying. The wait staff are extremely welcoming but need training on their fine dining language and wine list. They may not know everything you'd expect from a star-worthy restaurant.
