Epicurean Europe nestled in Yosemite foothills.

A truly delightful experience. The atmosphere conjured images of old Europe while still offering the iconic pines of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Dinner was fantastic, the food was presented beautifully and the flavors danced eloquently across my palate. My date dined gluten free, her food was so... read more

A truly delightful experience. The atmosphere conjured images of old Europe while still offering the iconic pines of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Dinner was fantastic, the food was presented beautifully and the flavors danced eloquently across my palate. My date dined gluten free, her food was so well put together and planned out, we never felt as though we were... More

after an exciting afternoon of zip-lining outside yosemite, this memorable dining experience was perfect to end a great last day in yosemite. ERNA ELDERBERRY'S EXCEDED our expectations on every level. being asked when making reservation of any allergies, food likes/dislikes, &/or preferences, eased any concerns. the evenings several courses listed were those that the chef made using fresh produce &... On Sunday 05 October 2014 the four of us were heading for Yosemite National Park.We had actually made a booking for dinner at Erna's Elderberry Restaurant. But driving in the vicinity of Oakhurst,we decided that it would make more sense to do lunch at Erna's than to brave the dark, country roads for dinner. And so it was that we took them by... The first thing you experience is the friendly staff. Starting with John who welcomes you and guides you through the menu. Do they be put off by the 5 course $108 prix fix menu, they are accommodating. If you don't want the soup or salad they will deduct it or any course. They will also change it to accommodate your... Erna's is more a romantic couples restaurant than a family fare venue. However, their dining room has been our college for teaching our grandchildren appreciation for excellent dinners, beautiful presentations, and wonderful service in a warm lovely setting. We began taking them there as soon as they could sit quietly and listen to adult conversations about the tastes and textures... More

I was told about Elderberry House in Oakhurst as a dining venue and decided to take my boyfriend and myself to go try it out. The outside area as you arrive is wonderful. It doesn't look like a restaurant. The ambiance inside and the welcome was exceptional and after being seated our waitron produced the menu and wine list and... More

A night and meal for the ages on Oct. 19, 2014 at the Elderberry House, as part of the celebration of the restaurant's 30 years in business and of 60 years for the Relais & Chateux group. Proprietor Erna Kubin-Clanin simply wowed all in attendance from start to finish, with guest Grand Chef Toni Mörwald from Austria leading the multi-course... More

Tried 2 different tasting menus on 2 separate nights while staying at Chateau du Sureau, and both meals were absolutely amazing! Hard to believe that this kind of quality and creativity can exist outside of a major city. Erna's was the culinary highlight of our 2 week trip to California. Highly recommended!

My husband and I travel to Erna's Elderberry House every few years. To give ourselves a treat this October, we spent four nights at Chateau du Sureau and four fantastic dinners at Erna's Elderberry House. Each meal was completely different, filled with delightful visual, texture, taste, and wine pairing surprises. The wines matched beautifully, which doesn't often happen in wine... More
