Awesome!

This place rocks! I've been looking for some Caribbean food since my other fav place closed and I found it. I'm Panamanian but a lot of the appetizers and some of the meals at Sol Cubano remind me of home and it's the closest I get in Sacramento, without cooking it myself. If I didn't live on the... read more

We stopped in for lunch looking for something different. We found it. I'm no expert on Cuban food but I can say we thought the fare here was good and reasonably priced!

Great food, reasonable prices, service without personality. Our party of four each really enjoyed our meals -- hot, tasty, and filling. If the waiter had smiled or spoken to us a little it would have been even better. Service wasn't slow or rude, it was more like the waiter didn't want to be there. But we went there for food,... We went to celebrate my son's birthday by having lunch with the family. The folks who run Sol are very friendly and accommodating by setting up a table for 9 for a walk-in. It was Saturday afternoon between lunch and dinner, and it was great they were able to do this. We tried the Ropa Viejas, the pork Lechon, the... More

After seeing the movie Chef, I went on a quest to find Cuban cuisine in the Sacramento area. At first I thought I would have to travel to San Francisco to satisfy my hunger for specialities such as tostones, tortillas (omeletes), and sandwiches cubanos. Save your gas money and head to North Highlands. I had delightful dining experience at this... More

We have been here a couple of times over the years and the food remains consistent, authentic, and great. Cuban sandwiches are always a great choice along with Bistec, Ropa Vieja, and Vaca Frita. Try the different drinks like Materva and Iron Beer. Anyways can't go wrong with anything, great food at a good price.

Bienvenidos a Cuba! Please fasten your seat belts, enjoy the music, savor the food, and don't forget to leave room for dessert! The place is small, run by a husband-and-wife team, with early closing for dinner (8:30pm - closed on Sundays). The service ranges from cordial to Caribbean warm depending (I guess) on their energy level. The wife is darling... More

My wife works near the McClellan Business Park, so every now and then we go out for lunch together. Out favorite spot is Sol Cubano. The owner is very friendly, and always available to explain his dishes. We speak a little Spanish, so it’s always fun to talk with him. Every dish is extremely good: start with the Tostones, fried... I'm very surprised this place doesn't have a review yet! I've been here several time with family and friends and they never disappoint me! It's your typical family owned restaurant...small and cozy but QUALITY food! The owner and his wife are the ones cooking your food and making sure you enjoy your visit! I recommend the ropa vieja! It is... More
