Quaint and Charming, Best Authentic Mexican Food Ever

No matter what you order from this menu, you'll talk about the fantastic flavor all the way home. Not to speak of the service - your server, cook and anybody else there will greet you with a smile and charm to beat the band. The exterior is unpretentious to say the least and we would not have even noticed it was there had we not been staying in North Fork on vacation. We were recommended to try this restaurant and we were very glad we did. A warm welcome, excellent food, freshly prepared and reasonably priced. Popular with the locals which is always a... More

Husband and wife team that serves up truly authentic, delicious, well crafted Mexican food in a town without much else to offer. Simple decor. Friendly service. Very reasonable prices.

We have eaten here several times and have found the food to be consistently delicious! It is always prepared to order, and the nightly specials have yet to disappoint in both the flavors and the presentation. They were happy to customize a meal once when I wanted a side that was not on the menu. Call to confirm that they... More

so i come from a small town, and i know how it can be. but this review is to let passers-through know a couple of things. this place is expensive, for what you get. we waited a LONG time for service and for getting our food. NO refills were offered the entire time (despite the fact we were there forever).... More

I live in the foothills of California off H-41 - the south entrance to Yosemite. At the top of the first climb into the Sierra's is a turn off to North Fork. We've driven by this restaurant 100 times as it looks questionable - somesort of old drive-in restaurant. Don't let the exterior fool you because inside is some great... More

Get here as often as possible. The specials are superb; the entire menu is superb and they're busy all the time. Had the snapper today. Make a reservation or you'll have to eat outside (which isn't a bad thing). They've been in business a long time; with good reason.

This is the gem of the Bass Lake area. Small dining room, some picnic benches, this restaurant was converted from a old burger place. While they always have the standard menu, it is the special menu that you should focus on. Every time we have eaten here, the "specials" were plate-licking good! We have eaten snapper, lamb, chicken, all with... More
