Went their with cousins who had been there before. did not understand what all the fuss was about. We had reservation and were seated 10 minutes after our arrival. they don't care much about the decor, however service was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. There is a mix of patrons there..sme very well dressed, the others not. I ordered the... More

"Old school" steakhouse in Nipomo. Second time to Jocko's and once again, had a great steak dinner. Tasty! Tasty! Tasty! Reservations well in advance is a must. Not a fancy place but the food is good....decor is right out of the 1970's. Only draw back is they are so busy, they typically can't seat you at your reservation time.

This was one of many visits we have made to Jocko's and as usual it was excellent. Realize that your wise to make reservations. The service was top notch and in spite of the usual crowds the food was fantastic--more than it is possible to eat in one setting. Truly a bargain; splitting and ordering an extra plate is the... They call it a spencer but its a ribeye. Its the best you will ever have thats been cooked on oak coals. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy at all. There is no ambiance at all. In fact its always very crowded and very loud. But you wont find a better steak. And all the other food is just as... More

We do not miss a chance to visit Jocko's when we are in the area. The best filet steak anyone could ask for. There is not much to be said as I would be repeating what others have commented on how excellent this place is. You must make a reservation. The BBQ Pit does not open till 4:30 weekdays. Was... More

This is the first place we stop at when go to Pismo every year. We order the steak sandwich with beans(awesome) and salad.

My wife ate at Jocko's a few years ago. Since then she's been talking about how amazing this restaurant is. She said it's not pretty inside, but it's comfy and and the steak was the best she'd ever tasted. Of course, being a master Bar-B-Q-er, I was a little offended. So, we went there last week for our 19th Anniversary.... More

We recently moved to the area and kept hearing we needed to try this place. From the outside it sort of looks like a dive bar so I was not inclined, however the recommendations kept coming so we finally tried it. You need to call ahead and make reservations or you are looking at a considerable wait...and now I know... More

Best Spencer Steak. The meat is all cooked over and oak flame. This place has been around for many many years. Make sure you call ahead for a reservation as the wait times are LONG!

With out a question this is the best steak I have had anywhere including the fancy and expensive steak houses in most large cities. As others have said the building is quite funky/country but it is the real thing. Get over the truck filled parking lot and the building's outside appearance and get inside for real food. We went for... More
