An excellent place to enjoy a relaxing meal and drink.

Whilst on a business trip to California I stopped at The Beachcomber Café at Crystal Cove (Newport Beach) for a light lunch. The Café is reached either by a short (10 minute walk) from the car park or there is a shuttle bus that runs from the car park to the Café which goes every 8 minutes and... read more

Very good restaurant with a beautiful view! There is quite a wait if you don't get there early enough. Don't miss it!

Right on the sand! Generous food portions! Those beignets-like eating pillows of air! I had the brioche French toast-yum! Definitely make a reservation! And be aware-you park across the highway, then take a shuttle bus ($1 each way) Parking is validated for 3 free hours

This restaurant is directly on the beach in Crystal Cove State Park. It's a fun place for a stop and a meal and a little beachcombing. There's a special drop off loop and then you can park across the way and walk back. Ask for a parking validation when you are finished. Serves all meals but gets crowded. Midweek waits... More

Came here twice for dinner during a week stay in Newport - mostly came for the fact that it's on the beach! The bar menu is great - fantastic drinks. Loved the grilled artichoke and the crab stack. Live music in the bar area was even fantastic! And the service was great too! Had ok experiences in the dining area... More

Love breakfast at this place. Right on the sand in a charming old beach area. Always a wait so take the beeper and go for a stroll on the beach while you wait. Go crazy and order the beignets--yum! Lunch and dinner nothing special but ok.

If you want to pay premium prices to dine outdoors in front of the ocean then this is your place, especially if you want pigeons flying around your meal and walking across your feet. When I say premium prices, I mean premium prices as well, for a very average meal. I had one of their specialties, the corn beef hash... More

This is one of my favorite places to take visiting friends. The restaurant is right on the beach at one of the best beach locations in OC. The food is very good, and the bar is just right for a quick late afternoon drink before leaving the beach. You can make a reservation, but if you live locally, try brunch... More

I love this restaurant. Have only eaten breakfast here. But why try any other time when I love the breakfast. Always have the cheese avocado bacon omelette. It is sooo good and plentiful. Always begin with coffee and Beniets. Really delicious..

We've dined at the Beachcomber Cafe on numerous visits to Newport Coast. Yes, there's always a line...so go knowing you'll wait. But there's so much to explore with pager in hand! Stroll around the fabulous restored cottages & through the museum, where you can read all about the history of Crystal Cove. When you do get into the restaurant -... More
