If you want the perfect Southern California Beach Restaurant experience, this is it. Located in a converted old house right on the beach. Great food, great happy hour. You will have a wait. So come early and put your name in, then go for a walk on the beach. What could be better. Amazing.

This restaurant is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You are right on the sand and have the best view of the Pacific Ocean. You may even get to see the whales if you ar there at the right time of year.

Went to The Beachcomber last September and had such a great meal that I decided to take a group of other friends to experience the place. They all were in awe with the wonderful meal we had. This night, we ordered the pork chop, halibut, Chilean seabass, seafood potpourri, herb chicken, short ribs and the lobster linguini. They were all... More

Four of us went for breakfast; there was a bit of a wait and much to see. We started with a basket of beignets and cups of espresso, perfect with the morning breeze off the ocean. There were omelettes, some of the best bacon ever, and a patio view that was perfect. It takes time to walk or shuttle there... More

Find this place and you won't be disappointed. The food is delicious, but honestly it's the whole experience of getting here and planning a day at the beach, that this represents. A lovely adventure in beach dining!

Went here for lunch yesterday with my family. We did the walk from the Trancos parking lot to the beach. The hostess told us it would be an hour to hour and fifteen minute wait (Get reservations way in advance!). We gladly waited that as we explored the historic district, the tide pools, and the beach. We got a table... More

This is an outstanding restaurant for food, casual dining, and to watch the sunset on the beach in Newport/Laguna. Nice for entertaining family and friends. We definitely recommend a reservation.

This restaurant has RULES- if you make a reservation- you can not sit until everyone is present. We had 5 of the 6 at the time of our reservation. So we sat- and ordered drinks and started to order. Our 6th person showed up about 15 minutes later and their rules don't allow "add on's " so weird- we had... More

Best view ever. On the beach where you can hear the waves and smell the salty air. Great service. The field greens salad with fresh figs and watermelon hit the spot. My friend had the chicken which looked good while I had the halibut special. The halibut was cooked perfectly, and the carrots and broccolini were al dente perfect. Fun... More
