What a hidden gem. If we hadn't asked our hotel about a great place for breakfast we would have never known about it. It is down a hill and around a dirt path. Food was really good and afterward we took a stroll down the beach to the rocks and back. We will absolutely be going back! Maybe for lunch... More

Had breakfast there and it was very delicious, pancakes were over the top. Very busy place, has been there for a long time, but worth a little wait. Went there around noon on a Sunday for lunch. Was told it would be a 1:45 to 2hr wait!!! never heard that before. Luckily they have a take out shack nearby and... More

This a wonderful place that brings back the 60's beach scene. One of the very few restaurants right on the beach. Old time beach shacks surround which are fun to view. Drinks could use some improvement but food was solid with good voices four all ages. Reservations are hard to get but clearly if you go at less than most... More

I've been to the Beachcomber several times for breakfast, and it never fails. Besides the wait, this is really the best spot in the area when it comes to waterfront dining. It's surrounded by historic cottages, a glimpse of a past simplicity in the midst of possibly the silliest, richest, most materialistic place on earth (I love it, but come... More

Must go for the beignets, little French donuts with powdered sugar and maple syrup! To die for! We've found it's best to get there early, park up above in Crystal Cove and either take the shuttle or walk down to the beach. There's usually a wait but you get a pager so it's a chance to walk along the beach... More

We went twice during the week we were there. Fairly inexpensive for next to the beach. The food was always good, except for the clam chowder being bland. Service was friendly and polite.

Good food and great ambiance. You will probably have to wait for a table, but the waiting area is magnificent.

Great meal with the family on the wooden deck looking over the beach and sea. Cocktails, yummy menu and super service from our server Dave who was a top bloke. Would recommend this as a must visit restaurant if your staying at Pelican Hill or the area.

Eating here makes total sense since you get your free parking at Crystal Cove if you at least spend $15 at Beachcomber. The view is incredible, service is okay but the food was not. It was the worst corned beef & hash brown I ever had. The corned beef was dry & bland & even the presentation was not appealing.... More
