I found this small little restaurant near Newport Pier and was delighted with everything about it. The restaurant is small, but great food and ambiance. There is often live music by a guitar playing singer to add to the experience. The bread is baked fresh, which is always a plus when dining out, and served with olive oil for dipping.... More

Fairly near the start of the Balboa peninsula (21st St), you'll find this small restaurant next door to a hopping bar scene. But, it's in a world of its own - food heaven! That may be a bit premature to say after only one visit, but we were 3-for-3 on absolutely outstanding dishes. The cioppino was the best I've had... More

Got a recommendation from the locals to check this place out . It is good to make a reservation because seating is limited . We went and Misty was able to seat is within 30 minutes. Excellent lobster ravioli and great California wine selection . This is a must stop if your in the Newport Beach area.

This place was recommended by a local we met in the airport in Houston. The atmosphere was great, but the food was just so so. Had Mexican food the next day at our conference hotel and it was much better, loved the beer marguerita

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and I am so glad they did. Small place with eclectic but romantic vibe. Nice happy hour/early dining menu with good selections made it economical. Not just good prices on appetizers but significant savings on regular menu items. Service was friendly and efficient. Go early for great table at the window, good prices and excellent... More

happy hour dinner 5-7 was great and didn't break the bank. We had six different dishes, all fantastic. Fettuccine jambalaya was particularly great and spicy. Enjoy.

Quaint and funky decor creates atmosphere, (ok, a chandelier in the corner at head height but it works) painted in warm colors to stimulate your appetite. The food is exceptional for what you might expect from the humble surroundings! Upon arrival all tables were taken so we started at the bar, (ordered our meals there too) once a table opened... Tried Sol Grill after reading reviews. Did not disappoint. Had blackened swordfish, wife had scampi. Both done well. Prompt service, good experience.

Tiny, amazing restaurant in Newport. It's a local/ tourist favorite. Given their location, they don't have to be as good as they are! MUST TRY the filet mignon meatballs. NOTHING BETTER! Recommend Sol Sald with Ahi Tuna... to die for! Baseball cut steak is out of this world. Really outstanding cuisine. I you go weekdays 5-7 there's a twilight menu.... More
