Love this place

I've been here several times and each time I am always impressed. I've tried a few of the steaks as well as the salmon and the bass. I am never dissapointed. The bread they bring to the table is nice too. I love the wine list, as they have many to choose from. The place is usually very busy on... read more

We arrived a few minutes early and were disappointed in our table after requesting a water view. The manager came out and apologized and put us at another table after it was cleared, bought us drinks and was absolutely, over the top, stellar and seamless in his handling of the situation. I would have to say he went above and... More

The food is overpriced and the side dishes are unimpressive. The staff is snooty overall. The tables are too close together with little privacy. We felt like we were joining the large group seated next to us. We live in Laguna Niguel and would much rather go to Ruth's Chris.

Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. Definitely pricey and more upscale but service was excellent and food superb. For appetizers, we shared the sautéed scallops, beef carpaccio, and fried calamari. All were delicious but scallops definitely a highlight! For the entree, I chose the Chilean sea bass, and chose the lightly breaded preparation. At this point I was so... More

If you are at all familiar with the Mastro's chain, then you pretty well know what to expect. This restaurant, in addition to the incredible steaks, offers excellent sea food. And the Sea Food Tower is something to see . . . and eat. this is a dining experience that requires a full wallet or purse. But do enjoy!

Great food and awsome ambiance. I recommend the escargot for an appetizer and the bone-in filet as an entree! They pour a hefty cocktail! I ordered a martini. They bring a huge "Birdbath Martini Glass"....fill it to the rim and then leave the shaker on the table for your drinking pleasure! The wine list is extensive with too many great... More

We love returning time after time to experience amazing food and service. And let's not forget the awesome sun setting over the ocean view.

You can find Mastro in crystal cove. From the outside it looks nothing, but as soon as you walk in, you realize you are somewhere VERY special indeed. From indoor trees, to courtyards with fires, it is so extremely romantic, and just buzzes with that special vibe feeling. Live laid back music adds to the ambience. The service is probably... More

Service is good most of the time, but when they are busy it gets a little spotty. The food is excellent - again, unless they are super busy. Will continue to go back, but never during holidays!

The filet here is awesome & worth the price. It's a place to indulge yourself in the best tasting calories! Great for business meetings except when live performances are going on. NOT a dig on the entertainment ...it's always great!)
