We saw this place on Yelp and thought we would try yesterday. It is new but the chef was the lead chef at Antonello's, our favorite restaurant in Orange County. We were NOT disappointed! Carpaccio di Cinghiale, which was excellent. We also had the Trofie al Ragu' di Coniglio which is pasta with rabbit ragu. The pasta was homemade and the ragu was different but really flavorful. We never would have thought of rabbit as an entree, but here we would order it again!

I discovered this little gem with my wife on a date night. My favorite food being Italian, we ventured here for a quaint romantic meal and soon found this to be one of the best tasting Italian food restaurants around. Family owned and operated, Il Barone is one of those places where no matter what you get, it tastes amazing.... More

Dinner at il Borone Ristorante on a Friday evening was an enjoyable dining experience. While the restaurant was filled nearly to capacity, the service remained prompt and courteous. We were seated promptly upon arrival. The soup, salad, ravioli and lasagna were all excellent. The portions are small but appropriate for light eaters such as ourselves. Someone with a more hardy... Everything was perfection. We were in their back room which was decorated for the holidays. Each Board member was given a choice of items to eat. First we were served a delectable antipasto with a variety of hams, cheeses, olives and breads. For the main course I had the braised beef ribs. The portion was very generous --- but, that... More

Il Barone Ristorante is the most authentic Italian restaurant to which I've had the pleasure of dining in the U.S. Inside the atmosphere is warm and inviting, like a family-owned restaurant. The appetizers, dinner, wine and desserts were all exceptional and the servers all appeared to be Italian and were friendly and attentive. The meal pricing was good considering the... More

We had a private room and our own special menu. The wine and the meal was very good. The service was also very good. I really liked the wild bore and pasta that we had.

The food is fresh, Chef Franco and his wife Donatella and their extended "family staff" are caring and work hard to give you the ultimate dining experience. Homemade pasta, pastries and the limoncello, out of this world. A must place to dine, you will become a regular, always fantastic!

Waiters were friendly and efficient. Yes they have some pricey wines, but there are others reasonably priced and good value. the heirloom tomatoes and cheese was a delicious appetzer. This was followed by chef peronally coming to our table with a complimentary plate of amazing arancini. Round crispy rice balls filled with cheese, these are a Sicilian delicacy, highly aditive.... I found out about this place by their coffee/pastry shop (Barone Bottega) two doors down in the same strip mall. On the coffee shops counter was a menu which I was reading. I liked what I saw and was considering coming back for dinner when suddenly the employee said "that's for the restaurant next door". I came back for dinner,... More

I had heard a rumour that the coffee, cafe, was quite good here. I visited around lunchtime and ordered a double shot flat white. Final product was more a latte as it was considerably milky and had no coffee flavour whatsoever. I didn't have courage to return to shop and express my disappointment I just don't go back to restaurant... More
