I just had a perfectly delightful evening at Pescadou. A friend and I get together every couple of months to catch up with one another. Pescadou is not a fancy frilly place but a warm cozy neighborhood cafe where you would feel comfortable coming back again and again. I first visted Pescadou Bistro in 2001, and was very impressed with the food, but not so impressed with the atmosphere. Jacques is a very good owner and always makes people feel part of this lovely bistro. The meal was simply outstanding - the best french meal we've had in years. The service was excellent. The menu was quite varied and included beef, pork roast and fish all in traditional french-style. Sitting in a small pocket off of the busy Newport Blvd., Pescadou Bistro is the perfect place for a romantic dinner, a casual lunch or just a way to treat yourself and unwind. We visited Pescadou Bistro twice this weekend (April 7 and April 9) and found it excellent in every respect.
