Best oyster bar in Newport

This is my favorite overall restaurant for both dinner and lunch in Newport. The Ahi is the best...but all their food is great and the staff is wonderful. My choice is to sit at the bar...the best seat in the house!

For the price, i was looking forward to the food being very nice, but it was not. I had the swordfish, which is on the logo, and it was not as good in many other, cheaper, places in L.A. Not well presented either. Mediocre wine. Won't go again.

Bluewater Grill has a great selection of fresh fish that is cooked to perfection. No reservation are taken and sometimes the wait could be long.

I really waned some sea food while I was on my business trip so I gave this place a try. The food was very good, and the service was exceptional. We ate on the patio, which probably would have been better if there weren't a bunch of boats parked there blocking the view. Great restaurant!

Had mussels and clams pot outside on heated patio on water. Good service, food okay but not excellent and no French wine on wine list! Not enthusiastic returning.

Delicious swordfish, followed by outstanding Key Lime pie. Yum, yum. Don't miss this place if you like boats and fresh seafood.

Good and tasty dinner, nice location, friendly place and service. I ended very full and with no room for other things! Recommended.

I really wanted to like this place. The scenery and atmosphere were great. We sat outside right over the water. Service was very slow. My fish tacos were were very bland. Shrimp cocktail was average, not great. Overall, it's not worth coming back as there are plenty of excellent restaurants within a 30 mile radius.

I took my family in hopes of finding a great place, I was wrong. I am not sure why this place gets high ratings. My shrimp and scallops were over cooked. They were out of all burgers on a Monday. Service was not bad but that could not make up for the food. As I was on vacation with my... More

Wonderful food and a great water front view from the outdoor patio. If the Halibut is on the menu, try it.
