Good food, kids friendly. Was close to the hotel. Hyatt provides a shuttle to the shopping area where the restaurant is at.

We have been to Roy's in Kauai, Hawaii several times and were excited when we saw Roy's in California, offering Hawaiian style cuisine. Although we like the one in Kauai better, this was still nice. They have a pretty marine fish tank when you first walk in, and they have a nice selection of seafood. Since I have had many... More

Dinner on Sept. 7 2014 deserves "00" if it were possible. Party of five. Reservation for a birthday celebration at 5:15, arrived 1/2 hour early, (empty restaurant) seated at 5:30 by CREEPY, goofy man in suit (manager?). Roy Yamaguchi would be appalled to know how bad it was! Waited 20 more minutes for server to take drink order. "Jessie" did... More

Best chain ever. Each place has own character but service and quality is unparalleled. Current SE Asia prize doze is delicious with best salad I have ever had with amazing flavors. Cosmotini is great drink. Get their emails. I had a $25 voucher if spend over $50 and they took it off current bill, not future visit. Wow! Staff is... More

Roy’s is a high-end, high-profile chain of restaurants owned by Asian fusion pioneer chef Roy Yamaguchi. Their food and service (both of which are excellent) are the subject of many reviews, so to avoid being repetitious I’d like to mention the way they treat patrons who are celebrating a special occasion. My wife and I decided to celebrate our 29th... More

When we made our reservation, they asked if it was for a special occasion, and we told them it was our anniversary. There were lei flowers in the form of a heart on our table, we were put in a more quiet room, everyone expressed their congratulations, and they gave us a free dessert. Incredible, and, BTW, the drinks were... More

Great dinner (crab/swordfish), good drinks, good service. I thought the entree was special (I would get it again); the chocolate souffle, to me, was good but not special (I would try something different).

We ate at Roy's in Newport Beach this past weekend. The food was delicious, the service was great and the setting was super! I had the grilled salmon and it was perfect! We enjoyed a long and relaxing dinner with friends. The best part of the meal was the chocolate souffle with vanilla ice cream.

Our server Thomas delivered outstanding service. Very knowledgeable, super friendly and just a classy guy. We took his recommendations for the grilled scallop and pork chop entrees. We were not disappointed. The scallops were thick and cooked to perfection. The first time I have been given a choice on how I preferred them cooked! Served on a bed of pesto... More
