Busy, comfortable atmosphere

Interesting unique menu, good service. The location in Fashion Island is nice but no view. A nice varied menu with unique twists on familial foods.

I've dined at Roy's many times over the years. It's been a reliable restaurant for business dinners, family dinners, girls night out - great food & drinks, great service. They recently began serving lunch so I stopped by with a friend. It was restaurant week in Newport Beach, so we ordered the three course meal. I tried the pulled pork,... More

I've been to four different Roy's. Never a disappointment. It's nice to have a touch of aloha in our backyard. Food is always good. Don't even think about leaving without having the chocolate souffle. Every location I've visited has a problem with acoustics. Be sure to speak up and speak clearly during dinner conversation. Service during this visit was not... More

We've eaten at several Roy's, both on the Islands and on the mainland. They do what they do well. On our most recent visit, I had both an appetizer (a roll) and entree that had been crafted by the chef at this location. I was pleased with both. Service was excellent. I was also very pleased with the wide selection... More

My partner and a friend had lunch at Roy's today. They only opened for lunch last month and we thought we would give it a try. Fashion Island in Newport Beach is across the street from our office and has a number of upscale restaurants open for lunch so we rotate them each day. It is not unusual for us... More

Roy's is known for its unusual menu selections and this location is no different. A great selection of seafood and other items. The hibachi grilled salmon was outstanding. My colleague had the short ribs and was equally satisfied. Definitely a return visit.

Great ambiance... Fantastic food... Phenomenal price! Two entrees, two appetizers, two desserts... all for $36.95 each on Prix Fixe Mondays!! What it essentially breaks down to is paying for two entrees and receiving two appetizers and two dessert for free... fantastic deal! Two sushi rolls, our two appetizers, were over-the-top delicious. Sunrise at Haleakala Roll... Tuna - Yellowtail - Salmon... More

A special restaurant for any occasion. Service and menu selections always outstanding and fixed price and special priced dinner and bar menu are a real bargain in a gourmet restaurant such as this.

We have frequented Roy's since 1993 when they first opened in Pebble Beach. Sadly, I have to admit that the attention to detail have continued to decline over the years. Most recently we visited last weekend and we had to send back both of our dishes for adjustment. It looked and tasted like the dishes were thrown together. The service... More

Trying different Newport Beach places occasionally, we never know what we'll find. Roy's web site doesn't show prices, so we expected pricey. It was but not outrageous. The food and service, though, were outrageously good. Playing it maybe a bit safe, we ordered Hibachi Style Salmon and Kim Chee. Perfectly cooked and delicious. For dessert: Souffle with chocolate lava center.... More
