Ask the price of their specials to prevent 'sticker shock'.

There were four in my party for lunch on a Friday, the only weekday that lunch is offered. The lunch menu looked good with most entrees costing $16-$18. The waitress ran through the list of 'specials', one being the sea scallops and lobster ravioli, but she didn't identify the cost and... read more

Our family had seen Amelia's while visiting Balboa Island a couple years ago, and had read about it in a travel magazine for the Newport Beach area. After dining there ourselves in June, it's easy to see why Amelia's is a local favorite. If you're budget travelers (and we are) you'll probably blow your budget a little (especially if you... More

Restaurant looks quaint from the outside, but it is just not that good. The food is sub par, just not that good and priced like it is fine Italian cuisine. In a place like this I expect excellent service, but it was just your typical service, nothing special.i would skip this place and stay home and make your own Italian.

A nice little restaurant in the middle of Balboa Island with nice owners, the food was very good, and we loved the Lobster Ravioli appetizer, the Salmon and everything that was served.

My boyfriend and I just came back from a couple of days in Newport Beach, California. We decided to drive out to Balboa Island for dinner and found the most wonderful little restuarant. Amelia's is a charming place to enjoy scrumptous Italian favorites and unique dishes made from scratch. I had 'Amelia's Calamari' which, is calamari stuffed with crab and... More

We parked in front of the restaurant, then wandered around trying to find something more casual, close to the water. We ended up back here for an afternoon birthday lunch celebrating my husband's 50th birthday. We were treated like royalty with the great service, while enjoying excellent wines and melt in your mouth scallops cooked perfectly, along with lobster ravioli.... More

We took our whole family for dinner to say goodbye to our daughter that was moving to Georgia. Our dinner was pleasant enough but checking out was a disaster. The woman who has been there forever was very rude to us. She not only told some of us to go outside to talk because she needed to concentrate but one... More

This restaurant serves wonderful food in a very pleasant casual ambience. The menu is not large; but, all the dishes are authentic Tuscan cuisine. My salmon and peas in light Alfredo sauce was excellent. My colleagues also enjoyed their seafood pasta dishes. Caesar salad is excellent. They lack a full bar; but, have a nice selection of beer and wines... More

Had a wonderful meal as usual with great service from Lisa as always. If you want delicious pasta seafood or fish try anything. The Lobster Ravioli are a must along with the Linguine Pescatore done to perfection. The Bruchetta is one of the best anywhere. For desert try the chocolate covered Cappuccino ice cream in a hard shell. Great wine... More

Always a great place to meet with friends and enjoy an intimate great meal with good service and food. It has maintained the same high standards over the many years we have come there.
