Happy Hour is a nice deal!

This restaurant came highly recommended by locals. We had the option of staying on the first floor or going upstairs to have sushi & other selections. We waited quite a long time for a server to assist us. He apologized & stated Happy Hour was a busy time. I told him I was gluten free & needed... read more

Great restaurant. Would recommend it to anyone. Ambiance is wonderful. Service is a little slow but the great meal makes up for it! Sat in the bar areas with the kids and it was fun.

I bit hard to find in Newport Beach, but a nice view of the back Harbor. The seafood was ok, but not exceptional as I expected for the price. The place closed for a while because they were going to tear it down and build a high-rise building. After that we never really ever went back again until this Jan.

This restaurant has been in Newport Beach for years. Some restaurants get kind of "long-in-tooth' however this restaurant stays relevant. It is a great location and the food is always excellent. Interesting, but not a surprise, that this is still a hot spot on weekends and has been for many years. If you had to pick a restaurant for your... More

Overpriced assembly line cooking with a limited offering of fish - if you want good seafood, go elsewhere. The ceviche was like a soup, and the scallops were not as fresh as I'd expect. Service was slow - 20 minutes after ordering to get an appetizer. Also the menu was hard to read In the dim light. A typical over-produced... More

We ate dinner for my birthday on a busy Saturday night. I had not been to the Cannery in years and since it gets good write ups in the local magazines I thought it would be fun to try. It was incredibly busy. We waited in the lounge for our table and in 20 minutes were never approached by a... More

Sunday brunch will never disappoint at this amazing restaurant. Our week in Newport Beach wouldn't be complete without a visit to The Cannery. Creme Brûlée French Toast was the hands down favorite of our group but it is almost impossible to describe-you just have to experience it! The thick bacon on the side was soooo good and we certainly didn't... More

Three of us in our family ate lunch at this restaurant on February 20, 2015. We did have a reservation and had to wait about five minutes as we requested to sit on the patio. For beverages, two in our group had ice tea. One person had a Merlot wine from Sonoma which was fair. One person ordered chicken enchiladas... More

We had a nice table outside with a great view of the channel. The food was delicious. My only complaint is the waiter was a little too busy and slow, and we went on a Sunday so there was a limited brunch menu. Next time we will go for lunch.

The fish was marvellous and the view was outstanding. The decor was interesting baseball stuff. The service was good and it was full even on a Monday night. pricey.
