We were really looking forward to a special Sunday brunch experience...such a disappointment. Do not go when The Cannery is busy..that was our first mistake. I ordered a vegetable omelette...it was green beans with the omelette wrapped around the beans. The beans were hard as a rock....could barely cut through the beans with a fork and knife...it was awful. The... more

I have been to this restaurant for lunch twice in the past three months. It is a very nicely appointed restaurant. The lunch entrees probably averaged $17-18 per person, and by the time appetizers and salad/soup were added, without alcohol, meals totaled over $20 per person. Food was good. The view is gorgeous; there is a nice view of yachts... more

Between the service, the view, the food, the wine, this restaurant is like a hidden treasure. The crab legs are amazing, the ribeye is to die for, the Halibt makes you melt, and the clams...there are no words to describe them. more

The Sunday Supper three course fixed price menu had to be the best deal in Newport Beach. The three course menu included a choice of soup or salad, a wide range of entrees, plus dessert for less than $35.00. For those who wish to order ala carte, the menu is extensive. The wine list is comprehensive and every type of... more

Horrible service. We were ignored and they were not busy. The food was horrible too. Steak bad - and lobster WAY over cooked. Woudl NEVER go back. The manager came over and was like whatever! more

We read another review of this place and found it to be incredibly good. It's pretty pricey, even for lunch, but the food was awesome! Great service and the location was nice. Not on the water but close by. A little tough to find but we kept asking directions. more

My husband and I went with a couple friends of ours for dinner on a Wednesday night. The first thing the hostess said when we came in was "oh you're lucky, our last seating is at 9:00 pm" - this surprised us that they close so early - possibly because it was a weekday? The main restaurant is downstairs and... more

We have been here a handful of times and have enjoyed wonderful ambiance and great food. Recently we had drinks and sushi at the bar (we didn't sit at the sushi bar but the regular bar). The bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful, getting our drinks (and refills) quickly and helping us with food selection. The pineapple martini ($12.50) is... more

We've been to The Cannery 3-4 times and although several people have raved about the abalone, I have never had a decent meal there yet. Twice, my entree of short ribs arrived barely luke warm. I would not recommend it. more
