Today for lunch we selected salads and each was different and satisfying. The Mediterranean Seafood salad was loaded with a variety of seafoods but lightly dressed so I never felt stuffed . The Kale salad has blue cheese and hummus....delicious . The Cobb is not remarkable but very good. We enjoyed sitting outside and the service was prompt. Prices are... More

We had lunch this week at the Cannery. I have to say I was extremely disappointed. We ordered a bottle of white wine, which was poured and placed on our table. No chiller and sitting outside the wine was warm before we could get through it. Then we ordered the seafood salad, most expensive thing on the menu, without onions... More

Stopped there last night for dinner. No free parking. Either street meter, was none, or valet, $4. Waiter seemed to lose interest when we stated we don't drink and had no need for wine. Had some tuna soup, yuck. Some kind of spice just made it taste nasty. Had a bowl of New England clam chowder, was good tasting but... More

The setting, service and food were all great. But the size of the meals was disappointing. If I said the portions were a little bigger than appetizers, that would be unfair. But when I saw the food on the plate, I immediately thought they had to be kidding.

A wonderful Newport beach experience in dining and local tradition awaits you at the beautifully restored Cannery restaurant. We enjoy the fine dining in the main downstairs room, as well as upstairs sushi and other favorites in the upstairs bar area. The happy hour during the week is always a fun option as well. Don't miss the opportunity to go... More

A yummy dinner which was enjoyed by our whole family. The restaurant has a great buzz and is in an excellent location on the harbour.
