Good fast food

Not the greatest food, but one of our favorite stops in Newport. Scallops and shrimp both over cooked and dry. But, all you can eat oyster crackers/bread sticks. Fast service, in and out quickly if you don't have to wait for a table. Horrible parking in that part of Newport with only 60 and 90... read more

My husband and I were looking for a great little fish place right by the water. What a huge disappointment and waste of money! I ordered the "colossal prawns." By the time I finished peeling the shrimpy shrimp it was no larger than a piece of popcorn shrimp before it was fried! And my husband's fish was a plate with... More

Paper plates and great service cannot be found in Newport Beach anymore. Fresh good seafood for a reasonable price and an old time good time. No glamour or glitz just a fun place for family's . The chowder is very good with lots of clams. Get a loaf of bread and the best smoked fish. If you want fancy Newport... More

This is an amazing place to get fresh seafood at reasonable prices. Don't be fooled as the clam chowder is amazing! You must get the loaf of bread to go with the chowder.

This isn't an upscale, white table cloth fine dining establishment. It is a very good seafood restaurant that focuses on the food and not the hype. So we at here twice recently and both times everyone at our tables enjoyed the entire meal. Here is what we had and what we enjoyed: Calamari, shrimp on a skewer, shrimp and scallops... More

To be fair, let me lead off with what I found to be very good. The shrimp cocktail was very good. The bread was good. The manhattan chowder was very good. I had a taste of skewered shrimp from my sister-in-law and that was very good. The place smells but given the menu, it's kind of forgivable and even adds... More

we always stop at this local favorite restaurant when in Newport Beach. They are always busy. Everyone has their favorite entree and the potato side is yummy. Unique building, includes fish market I think, and the kitchen is central to the seating area. Parking is very limited

We bought some fresh dungeness crabs and smoked salmon to go and THEY ARE FABULOUS - best crabs my daughter & I have ever eaten. We chatted with the helpful staff while we waited as we were going to get the crab cocktail. After free taste tests of the crab cocktail (good) vs the whole crab (AWESOME) we picked up... More

Here's the thing. It's a local favorite and hang out. It's ALWAYS crowded and you get to meet the most incredible people in here as well! They serve food on paper plates which is a HOOT! The food is ALWAYS CONSISTANT, and always perfect. Get there early, don't complain about a local business being too busy. Goof for them!! Also,... More

My husband and I shared a Halibut plate and it was good we weren't too hungry. It is a very thin cut. I thought it a bit too dry but my husband liked the way it was cooked. On the plus side, my son had crab legs and they were very good.
