Wonderful red clam chowder. Been going to CC since I was a child and every time I am in town I have to get the red clam chowder with a sourdough roll. To tell you the truth I have never had anything else. I love it! more

I read a review from a guy that equated the Crab Cooker to the Red Lobster...HUH? Obviously this guy is from outer space. I've been eating at CC for over 30 years and I love the CC. I've traveled all over the world and have eaten seafood at every high end and dive seafood joint available to my culinary delight.... more

Way overpriced and they use way too much paprika. We ordered some crab claws as an appetizer and for $16 we received 4 small claws. The chowder was a must try and I could hardly swallow the first bite. It tasted like Cambell's vegetable soup out of a can with some fish thrown in. World famous they say but on... more

We heard all about this place from locals to our hotel staff, so we had to try it. The place was hopping when we arrived so we had high hopes. The decor has been around for awhile you could tell and our kids thought that shark was awesome. The bread sticks on the table were in plastic buckets with holes... more

Cute, and funny, and irreverant - but not really a gastronimic experience. Fresh fish served well, no frills. Wine comes in horrible little plastic cups. The crab cakes are very good, Everyone loves the pilot crackers and the bread sticks. It is stuck in time somewhere before the sixties and the Vietnam war made ruined the golley gee fun that... more

Well, the Crab Cooker is an institution. Yes, the food is only average--on some days perhaps even below average...although the clam chowder is good....The thing about the Crab Cooker is the history and the nostalgia here..Have been going there since the 1970s and will continue to do so--JB and PB more

There is always a line. Popular. But the food is really just okay. Certainly not bad. It's a cute tourist spot. It is kid friendly. My kids love the huge shark hanging from the ceiling - caught just off the coast many years ago! It's pricey. It's basic. But fun. more

This is a very basic, no frills restaurant that charges a little bit too much. The menu has very little choices and everything is served on paper plates with plastic knifes and forks. Even the drinks are in paper cups. Every table has bread sticks and/or cracker balls that are very plain tasting. Also, bread isn't served with your meal.... more

The Crab Cooker has the cutest decor of old fisherman pictures and boat peices. The food is pretty good but not the freshest. The crab was frozen and defrosted, the portions average, the shrimp cocktail was made from little bay shrimp unless you order the large size. The only thing I would go there for is the Clam Chowder and... more
