Great Food

We had made a reservation for fathers day for 9 people 2 days in advance, when we went there on Sunday they had no record of our reservation, but they were nice to accomodate us with 15-20 minutes delay. this restaurant is a busy place. Nicely laid out and spacious. Drawback they can't move tables together so maximum 6 unless you book the next separate table. Other drawback is seating is a table with a partial booth and chairs. So people sitting in the chairs can only look at the diner in front of them and the booth behind... More

Typically when you are a tourist you, you find yourself in those types of areas, like it or not. So, when it comes to restaurants in Newport Beach, likely you find yourself dining seaside. Do yourself a favor and take the road that leads away from beach and eat in town! My two personal favorites are right next to each... More

Everything done right. Terrific location, wonderful decor and ambience, excellent service, and top drawer food. Every morsel was spot on. Will return next time we are in the area. Lucky people who live within the vicinity.

We live nearby and I often take out-of-town guests there for a special California treat. Their outdoor area has a few large fire pits with about 10 lounge seats surrounding it. Only downside outside is that sometimes the cigar smokers take over one or two of the pits.

We recently stopped by this restaurant late on a Fruday afternoon. We were going to just have a drink but the setting and service were so delightful we ended up staying for dinner. We ate outside which was quieter than the inside restaurant on a busy Friday. I had the Dovet Sole which is only available on the weekend and... More

My husband and I absolutely love the Ahi tuna burger at Gulf Stream! It tastes amazing and could not be more delicious. Our only complaint is that they only serve it at lunch now and not on the dinner menu. Their heavenly biscuits are also divine.

Gulfstream is one of my regular places for lunch. Their chopped salad is the best ( ask them to add chicken). The service is always good and the atmosphere is good. The noise level can get high so its not the place for a romantic dinner for two. It is also not the place for a large party as the... More

We were looking for seafood, but with a Cajun twist. Gulfstream really fit the bill. I had the BBQ shrimp which were really great as was my wife's sea bass. You must also get some of their biscuits, some of the best we've had anywhere. The service was also very good, although even having a reservation, we still had a... More

This is my favorite restaurant for seafood on the entire planet. In most restaurants, I can only eat a fraction of a seafood dish. At Gulfstream the entire plate is easily devoured. A nice portion of cooked greens is included which makes the meal an excellent protein and vegetable dish. You must have the heavenly biscuits. They don't disappoint. Gulfstream... More
