The service and cuisine are really excellent. The grilled artichoke appetizer, the fish sandwich, and the lemon meringue pie are sensational. The pie is a reason to visit Gulfstream in and of itself. (Share a piece between a few people if you aren't interested in a big piece for yourself.) The servers allow guests to relax and to dine at... More

Had lunch with a friend at Gulfstream, and since it was a Southern California "perfect day," ate on the patio. There was plenty of shade because the restaurant has umbrellas covering every table. We shared the Mediterranean Sea bass special as well as the heirloom tomato salad. We were happy we shared because it was a lot of food. We... More

Had a late dinner with my wife and it was very nice. The prices are a little high but it is Newport Beach. Food was good but had to send the fish back to get it hot. The supplied a whole new plate if food which was nice.

The Gulfstream is 100% worth the trip from La Jolla (where we stayed). In few words, it is a place where you eat and feel very well - the building, the atmosphere and the very friendly and efficient service.

What a great choice this restaurant is for a business lunch! We were seated and served promptly, the good is artfully presented and tastes fantastic and our server was polite, professional and unobtrusive. I would recommend this restaurant to others without a moment's hesitation.

Gulfstream is an all around great restaurant for lunch, dinner or drinks after work. It's conveniently located on PCH close to fashion island and CDM. The atmosphere is elegant but casual. Typically busy with a good crowd any day of the week. You can eat at the bar, outside by the fire pits or inside for a more formal experience.... More

Just outside Fashion Island in Newport Beach you'll find Gulfstream. Looks to be very trendy with lots of $$$ cars out front, but very casual and comfortable. Large dining room along with a patio, and open kitchen. We had chowder, ahi burger & chopped salad. Everything is fresh, herbs grown fresh out back. Ahi was huge and the salad had... More

I cannot recall how many times I have come here but on every trip to the Newport area,(I have family in the area and come several times a year) I must come and eat at Gulfstream. Begin with their great appetizers such as the famous grilled artichoke and their fabulous dips. They are fussy about the artichokes and only have... More

When our granddaughter spends the night with us she always asks to go to Gulfstream. Her favorites are the hamburger and fries and beef ribs (her granddads favorite also) off the regular menu. It is a lot of food for her but she tries to eat it all because according to her they are "the best in the whole world."... More
