Description: The Coliseum brings to life the casual resort lifestyle on the Southern California coast. Chef Marc Osier's superbly prepared menu is an incomparably fun and intriguing place to dine. A large selection of pizzas made the Italian way, panini and sandwiches, seafood dishes, pastas, specialty salads, and various globally inspired dishes – there’s something on the menu for every taste and desire. Enhancing the enjoyment of the delectable food is a remarkable setting: Dine overlooking the strikingly unique Coliseum Pool with its radiant blue bottom created by hand-setting 1.1 million hand-cut glass mosaic tiles. Perfectly circular and 136 feet in diameter, the pool is set amid vaulted arches, corniced columns and an amphitheater of terraced decks where guests are sunbathing and luxuriating in private cabanas. Back dropping the dining experience are magnificent panoramas of sea and coastline.

The view from The Coliseum, both inside and outside on the deck above the gorgeous, glass-tiled pool is lovely. The palm trees framing the views of the ocean and sunset, as the golfers lay through are picturesque and calming. The food is imaginative and delicious. The drink menu has some delightful choices - Citron lemonade on a warm summer day?... More

A great restaurant in an ideal location. If you are looking for a romantic setting for dinner, this is the place. Or if you are looking for a setting for a family meal, this is the place. What a fantastic experience we had at Coliseum. Chef Marc has hit the mark every visit. The food is extraordinary and in my... More

Two friends and I went to check out all the hype of the Pelican Hill resort's Coliseum Pool & Grill and I have to admit - it was worth every second of the drive from LA! We sat outside by the breathtaking view of the pool and mountains while dining on some delicious fresh cuisine! It was absolutely delicious. If... More

EXCELLENT food. Great views. Chef Marc rocks. Delicious. Make sure to try the beet salad. I do not even care for beets but-- WOW. The scallops were amazing! Treat yourself and go for the desserts too.

Chef Mark hits it put of the park ! Ok let's give some serious credit where it is due . The most difficult meals for a chef to deal with are Valentines day and Easter. I NEVER ORDER WRONG! Just to clarify . I understand the intent of the chef and what his arsenal if flavor is. I avoid standard... More

OK, just had to throw my 2 cents in. I brought my Best Friend and my Mother to the Grill for a Birthday celebration in September of 2011. The atmosphere, service and of course, food was divine. Infact, it was so special we came for breakfast the following day. That's what I need to express here...I am still thinking about... More

Went here for Valentine's Day. My wife was looking forward to sitting out on the patio by the pool. But the restaurant did not have heaters. The only people outside were in their coats. Instead we ended up down toward the back of the restaurant with no view whatsoever. The food was a special three course meal for Valentine's. The... More

I dined at the Coliseum Pool and Grill this Presidents Day weekend with some girlfriends of mine. First off, this resort is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds at this hotel are immaculate and everything is very well kept. My friends and I decided to try The Coliseum Grill for the first time this weekend. We were beyond impressed with the service,... More

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and words couldnt describe how wonderful we both fell. The view of the pool and the golf course were gorgeous. We ordered steak and salmon and they were exquisite. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. To our surprise, the food bill was very reasonable. I would say this is the... More
