Description: The attention to detail in Andrea has been unprecedented in order to recreate storied culinary traditions and classic dishes bursting with the true flavors of Italy. Our Chef Luigi Fineo, has sourced the perfect ingredients and implemented time-honored practices and preparations to bring the best of Italy to The "Tuscan Village by the Sea" at Pelican Hill Resort. From salads made with 100-year-old Balsamic vinegar to delicate Potato Crusted Branzino; from exquisite pastas made in a one-of-kind, temperature-controlled Pastaio to the Laboratorio del Gelato producing mouth-watering artisan-style gelato, the food at Andrea is simply captivating. As in Italy, Andrea is seasonally focused, the menu adapting to the finest ingredients available at that time of year. A chic yet understated and relaxed atmosphere is enriched by being located, at the heart of the resort, to capture the most inspiring panoramas of the Newport Coast and the sun setting over the Pacific.

Seventeen of us had dinner in the large and beautifully appointed private dining room at Andrea. We were celebrating a milestone birthday of a good friend and the restaurant and the experience did not disappoint! Our hosts had preselected the dinner menu and offered a choice between two dishes for each course. However the risotto was justifiably mandatory! It is... More

Not very memorable, a somewhat pedestrian italian restaurant. The food wasn't particularly inspired although service was good. The restaurant was impressively busy so we may have just been there on an off day.

Andrea Restaurant was perfect for our wedding anniversary celebration. Our window table had a spectacular view of the sun setting into the ocean. The portions were small but very well prepared. The smoked duck appetizer was very good as was the red snapper caciucco. We took a walk among the grounds before our dinner and it was most pleasant.

Food is excellent, service is top notch! Spendy - but worth it! They will even accommodate kids (ours are 13 and 16, so not really kids), but they offer kid friendly options too.

We recently dined here on February 16 to celebrate Valentine's Day. Our servers name was Heath and he was extraordinary. We were first served a complimentary tuna tar tar appetizer. The homemade Italian breads were warm and unbelievably soft and delicious. We each had an additional appetizer for our second serving we had their ranch soup and the seafood soup.... More

What an amazing restaurant in the Newport/Costa Mesa area. There are stunning uninhibited views of the pacific and great sunsets. The service is friendly and an A++. They seem genuinely happy to serve you. The comfortable couples booths were very romantic and perfect for Valentines Day. The food? Superb. I did the winter tasting menu and every bite was perfect.... More

Upon walking into the resort, your heartbeat starts to slow. Pelican Hill is low-key in it's subtle use of beige and earth tones. You know you are somewhere special! The furniture, walls, bar muchies and staff all present an elegant tone. Have a relaxed drink in the huge circular bar before dinner. The restaurant itself offers an unusual menu; with... More

Andrea at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast. A bank board dinner with a very good prosciutto salad, a very good risotto, a very good prime flat iron steak, and a chocolate cake. The dining area is large and beautiful. The service was polished and attentive. Pelican hill is a resort and golf course. It is a little tricky driving to... More
