Good food

Based on the reviews here we headed to the Newport Beach location. We were in a separate room but noise levels were not good until the party of 5 at the next table left. A combination of they were loud, tables close, and poor acoustics. Our server was very good. Our food was very good as... read more

Reservation...still had to STAND outside and wait 30 minutes...to me that means the restaurant does not know how to book properly. Had to ask for server after being seated for 15 minutes. Food was fine but not remarkable. Salad was dry and just a bunch of lettuce and could not even eat half of it. Some of the entrees were... More

The food is authentic southern Italian fare. Sauces are tasty and really blend with the pastas which are homemade. Only drawback is that no matter where you are seated in this rather small place, you can't hear anything but the loud noise of other tables. It is absolutely deafening. Don't even try to have a conversation, just eat the great... More

By my budget standards, this is a bit pricey. The food and service were excellent. Wish I could remember name of my dish - it was pasta and vegetables. Definitely the best meal in my visit to Newport Beach area.

We enjoyed dinner here last night and have been many times in the past. Some of our favorite dishes are Pasta Nonna and Margherita Pizza. Service is always great! We love the bread and herb dipping oil.

Enter into a beautiful lobby pick a bottle of very reasonable bottle of wine score a table both community style or individual and enjoy a great piece of fish with a pizza kicker. Desserts were limited but tasty. Value is high due to way the wine is handled(very fair prices) overall a really fun experience

HI. not too much parking around the beach in Newport but after walking on the beach we looked for a place to eat. we saw this little place across the street and said lets try it. WOW we hit the jackpot. for lunch my wife ordered the French toast. I had a bite and it was the best I had... More

Excellent food whether you order pasta or pizza. We love the seafood pasta and calamari every time we come. The fresh bread with the dipping sauce is a nice addition. We like to come for lunch or early dinners because the wait time is longer for dinners. Parking is limited but you can part along PCH also. We like the... More

My wife and I recently returned to Alessa Cucina after nearly a years absence. This had been one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Newport Beach. But after eating there on the average of twice a month we got burned out. Needless to say I was expecting a great meal but was very disappointed. My pasta with sea food. was... More

Great Italian food. Nice menu and wine list. We were a party of four on a busy Saturday night. We ordered Eggplant Parmigiana which was not on the menu and the Chilean Sea Bass . You can bring your own wine for a corkage fee. The noise level is high so if you are looking for a quiet spot, this... More
