Great italian Food

Cucina Alessa 's our go to place for great food, relaxing ambience and very pleasant hosts. It's a great place for dinner with family, birthday celebrations with friends or a fun night out. The Chicken Marsala is a great choice along with the squash ravioli.

We recently enjoyed dining at Cucina Alessa. Dinner choices were wide and varied. our meal began with butternut squash ravioli (which the chef sent to us at the bar since our table reservation was delayed). We savored every bite of the fresh burrito stuffed with ricotta over arugula with sea salt and lemon, cioppino, short rib stuffed torteloni in porcini... More

Although this restaurant seems to have a nice atmosphere it is very noisy. Our table was directly opposite the door which they kept open and created a draft onto our guests. The service was ok but not great by the waitron. Three of us ordered ravioli and it was so el dente that it bordered on being raw!!! My husband... More

I ate here, and at the sister restaurant in Huntington Beach, recently with a friend. Both were very good; this one excellent. It was a Saturday evening and very busy but service was excellent and prompt and the atmosphere was warm, not rowdy or loud. My caesar salad was fresh, tasty and my pasta - Radiotore Con Pancetta - was... More

Came here for dinner over weekend. Got very busy after 6:30 pm, with long wait for tables. The service was rushed. The food was generally good, but expensive for what you got. $17 for a wild mushroom pizza that turned out to be a 12 inch thin crust pizza with only brown mushrooms. Total rip-off. The meat used for the... More

Walked in and ordered a chicken jalapeno pizza to take back to our hotel. The wait was about 20 mins so we just strolled the canal to kill time where we met a local who recommended the restaurant! Reaffirmed that we'd made a good choice. The pizza was tasty and the location very convenient.

Huge menu; all the pastas and sauces are scrtch-made in house. Service is great. Wine list is huge, and full bar service for those who wish. Exhaustive menu. but the servings are huge so retrain yourself. Splitting a salad and a pasta is a BIG meal for 2.

Excellent Italian fair. Great for takeout. The risotto special is my usual choice, but the menu is full of great choices. Nice cozy bar. Parking can be a challenge on a busy day in the summer, but not impossible.

Food was great, place had a bit of buzz going on a Thursday night. Josh took great care of us, provided plenty of personality and oversight to a very nice dinner with a coworker. Beautiful sunset - great family dining. Only a couple blocks from the insanity of the downtown evening in July.

This is an outstanding establishment, service, quality of food and price point. We started with calamari and clam appetizers, both were executed very well. For entrees my wife had the Linguine Pescatore (21.25), a huge plate of linguine heaped with mussels, clams, calamari and shrimp.I had the Pappaedelle AL Sugo D'Agnello ( 21.75), braised lamb shoulder, shaved ricotta salata and pappardelle pasta, it...
