Went on a Saturday evening. Seated outside due to our dogs were with us. Wife had the steak salad, I had the steak sandwich. Both were tasty. Steak was cooked perfectly.

We were excited to try last Saturday craving a bit of French bistro food. Waiter was very busy so we were patient. Finally he took our drink and food order. We ordered an appetizer of calamari and waited and waited. Waiter stopped by noticing we didn't have. I saw him go immediately to computer and punch it in so guess... More

Perhaps Sunday is not a good day to visit this restaurant. They were out of Beef Bourgignon and Petrole Sole. Service poor...loooong wait even though only half full for dinner. Faux French.. definitely not memorable. Too bad, because the location is good and the ambiance charming.

Went here with my little furry friend after shopping across the way from Muttropolis. Got a table outside and the ambience was nice and peaceful. It is beautiful to sit outside in the California sunshine and people watch. I got the French onion soup and a grilled artichoke and both were great. Would definitely do again.

Tired. Lousy Nordstrom's. Long Walk to Barnes and back to Niemans...hungry and don't want a lot bar noise--this "cafe" is just the ticket. Pleasant service. A little Paris-faux, but who cares. The question is--how is the food and is the noise level a least a little bit sane. The answer--plus and plus. Large menu. Nice wine list. A good place... More

$5 for most appetizers, champagne cocktails and beer. Delicious food and beautifully prepared. A great place to relax and watch the shoppers go by. Happy hour is M-F, 2-5 p.m.

Cute faux French bistro decor Had french onion soup, steak frites, and creme brûlée Soup was quite good, may be a bit salty for some but I liked it Fries were excellent, hot and crisp The steak was another story Very thin, limpid, seemed marinated and in a gelatinous sauce Creme brûlée was back on the positive side, caramelized top... After reading a few positive reviews, I decided to try for a french bistro experience in the heart of the Newport Beach Fashion Island Mall. I ordered Tuna Nicoise salad and pommes frites. I got salad topped unceremoniously with with DRY canned tuna. The pommes frites were cold french fries. Definitely not worth the trip. Nice outdoor eating area though.

Had a delightful Mother's Day brunch at Cafe Beau Soleil today. The Cafe is located by Nordstroms in Fashion Island, right off the parking structure. The restaurant is small and outside the front of American Rag. My daughter had their beet salad and the ahi stack. My husband had the huevos ranchero and I had the crab and shrimp omelette.... More

My wife and I were in Newport Beach, and traveling with our dog. We wanted a nice glass of wine, a light dinner, and to have our dog by our side. Cafe Beau Soleil did great. Couldn't ask for a better setting, and friendly atmosphere.
