Went to this restaurant on Balboa Peninsula for lunch. We asked to sit outside and had a short wait in the bar. Service was slow in the bar considering we were only two of four there. The bartender was obviously assigned more than she could handle making drinks and delivering food. When we got to our table, the view of... More

We have been here for their great happy hour many times, but this was our first visit for dinner. The service was excellent, as always. Coconut Shrimp and Pecan Smoked Salmon were great appetizers. The Swordfish amd seafood Skewer and Opakapaka were perfectly prepared and delicious. The Pineapple Upside Down Cake is a really good dessert. Good drinks, friendly staff,... More

Newport Landing is our Go To destination for a waterfront view and great happy hour. We prefer to sit upstairs and outdoors to view the water and watch the car ferry and boats cruise by. Menu prices range from $3-$5. Select wine, cocktails and beers are offered. One of my favorites are the coconut shrimp. These are jumbo size, fried... More

$28 pp and $5 more for champagne (ok, it's only J Roget...but toss a little OJ in and you are good to go). A ton of selections from fresh fruit and salads, meat, eggs, enchiladas, chicken and a great desert selection. We sat upstairs in the bar area...stunning view of Balboa island. Definitely a great choice for Sunday brunch. You... More

The brunch is buffet style and it is excellent. So much variety and tasty food. It is on the expensive side but completely worth it. For dinner they have an awesome patio right on the harbor. It can be rented out for private events too (which I did and it was spectacular). Must visit in Newport

We were lucky enough to sit on the upstairs deck, where we watched all the boats going in and out. Fabulous view! We went for happy hour, which has wonderful drinks and food at tiered pricing (very smart). Really enjoyed the salmon sliders. It was a Wednesday, and a half-price offer was on for beef filet dinners, at $12.00, so... More

Went to Newport Landing with a friend for happy hour. We had 4$ margaritas and there was an extensive happy hour food menu as well. We had a table by the water and had a lovely time talking, watching the boats and occasional glimpses of the sea lion that has adopted the Newport Landing pier as a home base.

The Newport Landing is just a solid, wonderful place at which to dine. We normally go there for lunch and are always pleased with their food, and good (and friendly) service. While others fight to be seated in the patio area (that affords seating as close as they can provide to the water), we enjoy the bar seats/stools just off... More
