So many pizza places try to make pizza in our country but these guys are the only ones that nail it. Taste just like Italy. They import their ingredients. They are all great but the 4 cheese is ALWAYS a favorite among everybody.

I visited the area to attend my 50th class reunion. I knew the fruit sheds where my family delivered pears had been developed into shops. La Fornaretta is a wonderful addition! Our meals were excellent!

Well the bar has just been raised and now I think we will compare all of our dining experiences with La Fornaretta. My husband and I both ordered the special Tutto Mare, which was clams mussels calamari and scallops with sliced garlic over linguini in a really good seafood broth. Their flatbread is to die for and we used it... More

Some say it's cramped but I say it's cozy. The food is authentic Sicilian and our waiter was from France with the accent and all. The chef is from a very popular restaurant in Sacramento. It was like taking a trip to Europe for the evening. Truly amazing experience, highly recommend for everything from special family dinners to a blind... More

This is a restaurant that was originally referred to me by my Sicilian hygienist. I asked where she went for good Italian and she said she doesn't go out much because she makes great Sicilian food but this is where she goes when she doesn't want to cook. Last night was the 5th time I have eaten there and it... More

My husband and I really love this place for a few reasons: 1) it is less than 5 miles from our house so it gives us a chance to support local business in our small little town; 2) they have consistently great food and service; 3) fresh HOT bread :) I have never reviewed this place, but after going there... Our second visit and it will not be our last. This time we brought friends along to enjoy the authentic Italian food and the friendly attentive service. Great food, good wine and a great time. Highly recommend this little out of the way dining experience.

We were in Newcastle for a small community festival. We followed out noses to this place. Lunch & dinner menus are very similar. Lunch has sandwiches in addition to the constant Pizza & Pasta, dinner has "specialties" accompanying the Pizza & Pasta. We split the Smoked Salmon sandwich & a La Fornaretta Pizza with pepperoni, artichokes, anchovies, & green onion.... More

This place is so good. We have been many times. Everything is delicious, but my family and I absolutely love the pizza. Our fave is the Alaskan: smoked salmon and capers...so good. Please visit this gem when you travel through because we want it to stay around forever!
