Wish the pizza dough had more flavor , find it tasteless , most pizza restaurants pride themselves in the special dough . Toppings are pretty much the same at most restaurant . To distinguish you're pizzas I would think the owner would make a change. The same problems seemed to be with bread used in the sandwiches. That's the only... More

Have eaten at this restaurant numerous times...why you ask? Because they serve good food, nice sized helpings, have courteous staff (and the owners), and they really seem to appreciate you as a customer. It's pretty laid back, nice but not gaudy atmosphere. Usually not too busy, but Friday and Saturday evenings it does fill up. A great and extensive menu... More

This cafe is tucked in the corner of a strip mall next to a gym, Mexican food, and Trader Joe was a total surprise. We have tried other Italian restaurants in the Thousand Oaks always to be disappointed by the food, service or prices. Cafe Topanga is not fancy but more than makes up for in terms of menu, quality,... More

Cafe Topanga is the sister restaurant to the Topanga Pizza Cafe on Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills. They also had a restaurant in Agoura Hills, the Angel Cafe that closed due to losing their lease. All three restaurants have basically the same menu and the food is very good. The Cafe Topanga in Newbury Park is tucked into a corner... More

Good food, atmosphere. Much different than Denny's, actually a fun place. Take your time ordering, and when it comes you'll be surprised. Cafe Topanga does't skimp on quality or quantity.

I hesitate to even review this restaurant for fear that it will become too popular as more and more people hear about it. Once you get past the slightly confusing location and decor, you will be rewarded with delicious Italian food at an incredibly affordable price. The lasagna is top notch, but so is the chicken marsala, and the penne... More

Third trip tonight and the first not great experience. First off, try the place. The Sauteed Scallops and Shrimp Linguini are to die for. The service hasn't been great on any of three times I've been there. I think they care and give an effort so I guess it might be their training. Service has been borderline inattentive (although not... More

My favorite restaurant for seared ahi tuna... The ginger vinaigrette dressing and the fried leeks are a winning combination on the salad and so enjoyable. Be sure to order extra garlic rolls, as you simply cannot get enough of them, as well. It's always a pleasure to dine there, or call for take out.
