FINE FONDUE

Great fondue, but the rice was weird. The waiter said a lot of people like it, but I wasn't thrilled, and neither was my friend. It had raisins and tasted of cinnamon. Suggest they offer a rice pilaf too. Give people a choice.

the cheese fondue was great, the atmosphere is nice and we lucked out with music going on in the bar on a Tuesday night.

Our meals were all delicious, especially the gorgeous slabs of beef and chocolate fondue. However, I can't quite give this nice restaurant five stars because the lighting (very poor) and general environs have become, IMHO, tired and make the dining experience here not all that it could be. I feel they could use another remodel to bring the appearance and... More

Whatever you order, it will be scrumptious! If you sit in the bar area, you will be treated to live music. We would recommend calling ahead if you want to sit in the window or be seated quickly, as it is very popular with the locals.

So glad we chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We had just walked out of another restaurant and decided to try this one. We were not disappointed. The place was relatively empty as it was 8pm on a Sunday night so no waiting and we were seated right away. Service was excellent as was the food. We both had... More

Monday this restaurant is about the only game in town for non-fast food type food. The staff were very pleasant and prompt and our meal was very good. Spicy seafood pasta wasn't too spicy and my wife's chicken piccata was moist anx delicious.

This was only our third visit to Friar Tuck's in probably 10 years. Depending on what you order, they can be a bit on the expensive side (although no more so than New Moon). Tuck's has a nice variety of items to choose from on their menu. I think they reason they get such mixed reviews is because items that... More

Very expensive and food a disappointment. My fiancé ordered a steak and found it had been smothered underneath with mustard which he loathes. Even when scraping it off it spoilt it for him. I did not enjoy my pasta as it was too gooey. The live singer was a little too loud if you are seated near him. Staff very... More

We hadn't been back here in years, and although it's a pretty place with good service and nice live music, we probably won't go back for dinner any time soon....$30 for steaks that are "just okay" seems too high to me....although the plate was nicely presented & the sides quite good. Salads are extra, & no bread - just a... More
