We celebrated our anniversary here

I agree with everyone that misses the old Friar Tuck's. But the replacement Friar Tuck's is a good place, too. We've been to this Friar Tuck's only three times, mainly because it's a two hour drive from our house! The food is always delicious here. The server staff is also great. We haven't had... read more

Friar Tuck's has been at this site for at least 35 years. I used to eat there on birthdays etc from the early 1980s to late 90s. The fondues were great. FTs burned down several years ago and was rebuilt retaining some of the old ambience. Guitarist John Girton has been a mainstay there and eating there when he is... More

Our friends took us here while we visited them on our California road trip. It was a warm and inviting place, even if the waiting staff were a little over the top in their excitement to serve! The food was great. I had the Bourbon Filet Mignon, which was perfectly cooked and incredibly filling for a smaller main. Our hosts... More

My friend and I go to Friar Tuck's for peel and eat shrimp. They are just wonderful. We have had the burgers, salad and and soups. Everything is very tasty. The peel and eat tiger shrimp are awsome. They are served with three differant and tasty sauces.

The bar, while not as interesting-looking as the old one, is nice, and if you can grab one of the two window seats, perfect! The service and drinks are great, but unfortunately the music is always so loud as to preclude any kind of talk that isn't shouting. The restaurant is definitely not as interesting as the old one, which... More

Our group tried this place again after a terrible (food and service) experience a couple of years ago. The food was quite good this time though the service had not improved noticeably. They still maintain the ridiculous policy of not providing separate checks for larger groups (management policy) so if you go with a group bring your calculator since they... More

Suggest reservations, steam clams and tempura prawns were amazing starters. Bourbon Steak, Prime rib were excellent. Beef wellington was a bit "doughy". Overall a good dining experience!

This review is for Friar Tuck's Bar. I am not a fan of the restaurant, but the bar food is very fine. I think their mussels are the best in the area. Not only is the sauté delicious, but the chunks of french bread served alongside are perfect. Good wines are served by the glass, but they are a bit... More

It had been a long time since I had a full Fondue meal with both Cheese Fondue as well as Oil Fondue. The cheese one offered bread, apple and mushrooms. The oil offered chicken, steak, meatball, shrimp and scallops. Lots of other food delights for people who do not like fondue.
