Delicious dinner

We enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant and the staff were very nice and attentive. Could have used a bit more light because we couldn't read the menu but, apart from that, it was a good experience!

We have been going to Friar Tuck's for many years - since before it burned down. It has always been pretty good, but the last trip there was disappointing. The food just didn't have the same taste and panache. It looks like they're starting to cut corners on their food. Also, the service was sub-par. We didn't get much attention... More

Hi, First and foremost, thank you for supporting us over the years and for your constructive feed back. I am very sorry that you had a disappointing experience with us this last time. That is definitely not the type of service and experience we strive to create here. My staff, both the front and the back of the house, will... More

Arrived on the late side and the wait staff were very gracious and did not rush us or make feel like we had inconvenienced them. Our waitperson had worked there a long time and was very honest about the wine and food that she thought was better. She didn't try to convince us to get the most expensive things on... More

This place has a nice atmosphere and good food. We were here on a Thursday night. There was a street fair going on, so the place may have been more crowded than on a typical weeknight. The bar was lively, with pleasant live music. Nothing so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Our server was pleasant and helpful. I... More

Our table had a variety of food. Everything was wonderful. The restaurant was very dark which made it difficult to order. This is for special events or if you feel like indulging yourself.

Great fondue, but the rice was weird. The waiter said a lot of people like it, but I wasn't thrilled, and neither was my friend. It had raisins and tasted of cinnamon. Suggest they offer a rice pilaf too. Give people a choice.

the cheese fondue was great, the atmosphere is nice and we lucked out with music going on in the bar on a Tuesday night.

Our meals were all delicious, especially the gorgeous slabs of beef and chocolate fondue. However, I can't quite give this nice restaurant five stars because the lighting (very poor) and general environs have become, IMHO, tired and make the dining experience here not all that it could be. I feel they could use another remodel to bring the appearance and... More

Whatever you order, it will be scrumptious! If you sit in the bar area, you will be treated to live music. We would recommend calling ahead if you want to sit in the window or be seated quickly, as it is very popular with the locals.

So glad we chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We had just walked out of another restaurant and decided to try this one. We were not disappointed. The place was relatively empty as it was 8pm on a Sunday night so no waiting and we were seated right away. Service was excellent as was the food. We both had... More
