Had a wonderful family celebration at Tuck's. Food was slow to be served, but once arrived it was very good. The lamb was perfect, one of the best preparations I have eating. I had the steak and it was perfectly served. Service was a little slow and the server had plenty of opportunity to upsale and did not, a plus in... More

The beef dishes, which ever of the many you choose, are fantastic. The desserts were amazing. Service was great, we had a very large group and were very happy with the service.

Food is average and over priced, and some of the bar's musical entertainment is terrible... we wont be going back.

Expensive but good known for prime rib and Yorkshire pudding and au jus. deep fried prawns lightly battered are so good. Scampi is delicious. Great meals but so costly and also they have fondue with cheese sauce or hot oil to cook the steak in and dip in sauces or shrimp /chicken that is a hit for a group

We went to Friar Tuck restaurant during a weekend getaway to explore the old gold mines. The food was excellent. We were given generous portions and the taste quality couldn't be better. It was crowded on Saturday night, so you might want to go outside of peak time. We weren't wild about our server. We were obviously just another set... More

We ducked into this place on a particularly hot summer day for a little liquid refreshment. Can't speak to the food, but the drink menu was creative, with a long list of specialty cocktails, and an extensive wine list featuring local labels. The bartender was attentive and friendly, and didn't mind us lingering after only one glass. The bar is... More

My husband discovered this place before we even moved up here, and it's become our favorite place to go for a drink. It's divided into two spaces, the restaurant dining-room to the left, and the bar to the right. There's seating at the bar and a few tables. The actual physical bar was imported from... I forget... after a fire... More

We recently spent both Mother's Day and Father's Day evening at Friar Tuck's. We so enjoy listening to John Girton, who is on guitar there every Sunday night. You'll be hard pressed to find a better guitar player any place. We enjoy sitting at the bar and ordering off the bar menu. Our favorites are the cheese fondue, peel and... More

A great location in one of my favorite town's in the world - I love especially when the incredible Pete Grant and Kelly Fleming are playin' some music. It is right in the center of Old Town Nevada City - a perfect place to spend before and after dining at Friar Tucks - the Fondue is a must for the... More

On June 27 we had dinner at reserved table near the bar to hear the music. I had the ribs. Very good, potatoes with them were good too the rib sauce is spicy, but not too much for me. My wife had the steak salad and she enjoyed it. Excellent Dijon dressing. We finished meal with the mixed berry crumble... More
