Love their breakfast and lunch!

I always take the time to visit Ike's while I'm in Nevada city! Delicious variety and everything freshly made!

We went here and had a late lunch last Saturday. Not as crowded as it was for breakfast. We got here a 1:45. Had a half hour wait. Ordered a cup of gumbo and jambalaya. My wife had the root beer pulled pork poorboy. Both of us enjoyed our food and had leftovers. I thought that the gumbo was the... More

Great Cajun/Creole cooking with outdoor dining available. I especially like the oyster dishes. They even have Hangtown Fry named after an oyster dish originating in Placerville, CA

Small and crowded but well worth it. Delicious and wholesome Louisiana style breakfast/lunch cafe. Great coffee and super yum-o food. This will be a new favorite!

Great little place. Totally organic with lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Best for breakfast! Too many choices to even choose one. Everything is really tasty. Little on the expensive side for locals to eat here on a regular basis, but great for tourists or a special breakfast morning.

My wife and I were travelling back from Reno and wanted breakfast. We stopped in Nevada City as my smart phone told me about "New Moon Cafe" unfortunately it wasn't open. But just a few feet away was "Ike's Quarter Cafe" purporting to serve Cajun/New Orleans inspired food. We both love New Orleans and it's food, so this seemed like... More

cute, friendly and bustling. food is decent, cajun-ish, but more hippie than bayou. i had the gumbo, which was good if you think of it as a chicken and veggie stew, but not authentic. it was more expensive than i'd have expected! only one server and she was a little over-extended. only takes cash -- i'm ok with that in... Ike's Quarter Cafe is a very casual place. It's warm, funky, friendly and crowded. We hd a half hour wait, so went up the street to window shop. When we returned, our table was ready, there was also a short wait for the restroom due to the popularity of the place. The menu was huge. It took a while to... More

We stopped in for brunch while in Nevada City for Victorian Christmas. Ike's is a Creole inspired restaurant with a lot of Louisiana flair in their cooking. The breakfast menu continued until 2PM which was perfect as most of us ordered breakfast items. There is a patio of about 8 tables outside but it was rather cold to be eating... More
