I love the monthly adventures to different lands and cuisines! That being said, the fried chicken during the month of Texas has ruined me for anyone else's! Everything we've eaten there is good, and anyone in the area should go and enjoy

We started with drinks in the bar. It's a nice cozy bar with a good selection, and the bartender make a generous martini. He also had a nice mix of music playing, which always helps. In addition to the regular menu, the Old 5 Mile House has a theme every month- the month we went it was Texas. As it... More

We went to The Old 5 Mile House for dinner a couple of nights ago. Even though I had made reservations, they could not seat us on the patio, so we had to sit indoors. I ordered a glass of Rose, but when the waitress brought it to the table it was white. When I questioned her about it, she... More

Good food, service was hit and miss. Nice grounds! Bocce ball to play while you wait... even an old teeter totter. Lots of character. A bit pricey.

I ADORE the 5 Mile House as I live here locally -- and taking an out-of-town chum there this evening for his first visit there reminded me of this culinary treasure right here in my own backyard. First, I'm a fan of the decor and setting, the rich woodwork and cozy interior is just as delightful as eating al fresco... More

They have different foods from different countries, depending on the day and they regularly have live music which is usually quite fabulous. And sometimes dancing! I was there for Irish music and it was beautiful.

Worst place ever! I ordered the mussels (special for the night). When 6 of my mussels did not open, I asked the waiter for 6 new mussels. He brought them back & said the cook was "able to get them open" & the reason they did not open was because "they were so fresh, they fought opening"! I showed the... More

Wish I could give 3.5 stars, but it's not an option. I have to say that I've been to 5 Mile House Twice and I'm somewhat torn. I love the atmosphere, the service, the live music, but the food is hit or miss. The 1st night we went it was outstanding! I was wondering why some people were telling me... More

My wife and I met some friends at the 5 Mile House for dinner on Valentine's Day and the place was hopping. Had a drink at the bar and the live music was great. Finally got seated and ordered a bottle of wine around 7 which showed up at our table promptly. From there it was downhill. Our dinner order... More

This is a very special restaurant! Was there recently.. The restaurant has monthly food themes and January is French.. Lunch only served 3 French selections, so my friend and I chose the onion soup.. Then last Saturday another friend and I went there for dinner, where the full French menu was offered. A little disappointed in the cassoulet, which was... More
