Food good, service ok

Sunday afternoon breakfast, not to many people in resturant. Waitress was older and seemed to have a lot of other things to do first before waiting on my husband and I. My Food came out first and my husbands ten minutes later which was no impressive. Food was good and the coffee was great. Prices... read more

This establishment was not on my intended itinerary but a last minute change in plans prompted me to take lunch with two friends. Two of the three of us had the lunch special which was tasty but way too salty. Service was very friendly but VERY slow due to a short order cook who was able to single task the... More

We had a nice simple breakfast consisting of an omlette, sausage, eggs, etc and it was all very good. A very cozy and welcoming place. Clearly a favorite of the locals. Owners take a lot of pride in their cafe and it shows. Service was great. One of the owners opened, took our orders and served.

We stopped here for breakfast on a Monday morning and the place was half full. We were shown to our table and the waitress brought us 4 glasses 3/4 filled with water (no ice). We ordered our food and it took around 40 minutes for our foods to come. The food was tasty and we loved it but the service... More

We had breakfast here 2 days in a row. The food was good, not great but good and wholesome, and the service was superb and very friendly. Truly, the service and friendliness of our waitress brought us back for another breakfast.

We stopped in to warm up this morning after a chilly shop at the farmer's market. We hadn't been here in all the time we've lived here. We found the waitress to be so very friendly. Our food was very good. My husband ordered a chorizo dish that was excellent, highly recommend it. My hash browns were so-so, I think... More

We had breakfast here. My fork and spoon were dirty and lipstick on my glass of water so had to ask for clean everything. Tables and floor dirty, made it impossible to relax, we should had walked out, we wont be back.

We had been here before and enjoyed it. But really it's only good when 2 of the 4 waitresses are there. One was there. We walked in and ALL the tables were filthy, still full of dirty plates. All the customers clearly had finished and left. The waitress had cleaned up none of it but was flirting with a guy... More

We've eaten here several times, mostly weekend breakfast and the occasional lunch. The location is ideal - on Broad St., walkable from everywhere. It looks like an old-fashioned diner - in fact, it was used in a sappy Hallmark TV special a few years ago, as the quintessential small-town cafe. The wall murals depict a fanciful version of Broad St.... More
