Has the feeling of old Hollywood

This is a spot in very far south in California that offers guests a feel of 1930-1940 Hollywood with great pictures of stars of the era looking down on you while your dining on some of the best food in San Diego County. Also during Prohibition the upstairs served as a great speak easy for the... read more

The French Dip sandwich was ok but I had to remove a lot of fat before I could eat it. For alll the rave reviews I expected a lot more. I didn't find this to be 'Old Hollywood' at all, it was just old, dark, and depressing inside. The highlight was the service but I won't be returning even for... More

When you first see this restaurant, you think it's pretty old and rundown. It's been around for a long time, and people in National City have always loved it for special occasions. Go inside. It has the aura of a nightclub with padded booths and a very dim-lit atmosphere, even at high noon. It reminds me of places I used... More

A friend took me here for dinner. The food, (Prime Rib) was the best I've had! Service was friendly fast and courteous. Ambience was great too!

Nice atmosphere. Was visited by legendary movie stars, their paintings decorate the interior. Live music 3 night a week.

I've been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl. It was my parents favorite place to go to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. Now days they have included live music during dinner which is a nice touch. We like the pictures of old time actors who actually visited the restaurant on the way to Tijuana. The food is... More

We decided to try this little restaurant out, we had driven by so many times and we were curious about its vintage charm, it's a hidden gem!

Such a fun place to go--live music, big red booths, great steaks, prime rib, rack of lamb! This is like a trip back to the golden days of steakhouses. But even more welcome to have a classy joint in the neighborhood.

Walking into this restaurant is like stepping into the 30’s. The jazz standards play as the pleasant service begins. The steak here is amazingly juicy, and served to perfection. You can’t go wrong no matter what cut you decide on. I usually order a prime rib, rare, with a baked potato. The portions are grand and the pricing is moderate.... More
